The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake.

House number
Bookabach had house number listed as 6052-actually is 6025. Confusion reigned on arrival as raining and photo is taken from the side of the house. Comfortable stay, middle room bed mattress needs upgrade. Generous and unexpected supplies - food and milk.

Where's the breakfast
The booking information clearly stated that the stay included a continental breakfast however that did not happen. A bit disappointing really. Should get what you pay for.

Accommodation was as expected, fire was a nice touch. Payment requirements and communication from managers was ambiguous and overly complex and had us wondering whether we actually were confirmed.

Had a lovely stay at Whange Bridge House. It made for a perfect stopping spot along the Forgotten World Highway after a long day of travel. Only surprise was having to go outside to get to the toilets but this was not a huge deal as covered area around the house made it possible without getting wet in the rain.

Welcome to Whangamomona!
A great wee village. Great pub. Friendly staff. Friendly townsfolk. Our hosts provided good digs at a fair price. This 'lost' valley is a great place to star gaze from on a clear night. Sooo peaceful! Loved it. Thank you.

Great spot in the country!
If you're visiting Whangamomona or travelling through the Forgotten World Highway and need some space - this is hard/impossible to beat! Old railway house that has been modernised and nicely decorated - we enjoyed our stay and will almost certainly stay here again! TV, Wi-Fi, breakfast essentials provided - plus some great reading on the history of the area.

Great cottage and location
Lovely location and outlook at the end of the village. Plenty of covered outdoor space to admire the views and a awesome fire inside for our chilly stay. I wasn’t aware the bathroom and toilets were outside on the porch, chilly in 2 degree temperature but all part of the stay and experience. Would definitely recommend staying here, and would stay again. Ceri was great and easy to deal with as well.

Stylish comfort in a hidden gem of a town
A spacious comfortable oasis amongst beautifully untouched countryside. We were glad of the electric blankets on an unexpectedly cold night. Lovely setting. Wish we had more time to explore the town and enjoy the covered deck.

Home away from home in Whangamomona
CeriandPork's Bridge House was fabulous. Everything that you could need - right down to continental breakfast - was on hand. A fire with lots of cut wood if it had been cold, and the ability to cook a full dinner if you'd wanted to. I'll be back with the rest of the family.

Great stay, great location - best place in Whangamomona
The cottage is just as described and is simply a cool place to hang one’s hat for a stay in Whangamomona. It is a 45 second walk to the Hotel (dinner) and is well furnished and set up. We will do our best to stay there again.

Wood fire ready to go, bread and milk in the fridge - we walked right in and made ourselves at home. Really enjoyed reading the "Chronicles" and learning more about the history and local community. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Just be mindful that in Winter, the local pub (which serves great food by the way) is only open Thursdays through to Sundays. Otherwise, bring your own food.

Fabulous Find
Whanga House on the Forgotten Highway was a fantastic spot to stay during our short winter jaunt. It has everything we needed without being too" on trend", capturing the ambience of Whangamomona perfectly. The fire made the place so cosy and so great to come back to after our stroll to the hotel for a meal. And supplies for the continental breakfast were more than adequate. We will return.

Wonderland
What an adventure we had - was so pleased to arrive at our destination - house was welcoming and spotless. The weather was not on our side when we arrived but was great to see the fire all ready to go - which we lite - gave a great ambience - best part - the amazing honey!!!! Only thing we couldn't work was the wifi - the numbers on the back of the unit did not work so couldn't log in - didn't worry me but you know what kids are like. Great experience - tick that off our bucket list - many thanks PS My daughter wanted to take Eunice home with us!!!!!
