Waipunga Falls Tours and Activities

Lovely situation on Lake Taupō. Would have liked a bow of the Lake and Mountains

Great resort for a family holiday. My kids loved it and we were happy that they were happy. One tiny thing was that the windows all opened out to the roadways so curtains needed to be drawn for privacy. Would have been nice if they were tinted. But wasn’t a biggie. We would definitely stay again.

There were several things that led us to give this just an “ok” rating. The bed was like a rock with awful pillows. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly.. which was a bit awkward . Also we were up every morning with the sun because the Venetian blinds did little to keep the room dark. On the positive side it is across the road from a wonderful restaurant - The Bantry. Proximity to the lake and town is great.
