The only good thing about this hotel is the location overlooking the ocean. Entrance was dingy. Staff ehh. Room walls dirty with mystery smears, shower dirty, paint peeling, doors didn’t stay closed and beds springy and uncomfortable. Not worth the price.

Bathroom sink faucet was loose. It seems that they only changed the bed sheets and not the pillow covers. The towels they gave me were suppose to be clean but these had brown streaks on them.

I don’t know how they got the reviews they do on here because our experience was nothing like I read. It’s got one TEENY TINY elevator for all the floors and mostly we had to take the stairs because of the wait. Trash was all over the ground and entrance on the 3rd floor. Our toilet wasn’t flush on the ground and I had to have maintenance come fix it as soon as we checked in the room. You have to stand on the bed to turn the air conditioner on. The fridge didn’t have a glass shelf to hold any drinks so the drawer were opened. One closet wasn’t nothing but construction. Very horrible. We didn’t stay but one night and left.

The toilet didn’t work properly, the shampoo or conditioner were not refilled in the bathroom, the bedsheets were dirty, the sofa bed was awful and there was dirt under the couch and items from previous guests. We asked for bedsheets for the sofa bed and they gave us wet sheets.

Experience was a decent one with the exception of plumbing seemed like there wasn't much pressure but that could have been because we were on the 7th floor. Only real issue we had was parking. Was told only one vehicle per room which was fine but Funk Fest was going on the same weekend and others were coming and parking in the very little parking spaces there was to begin with. Two other guest had to help me move out of a parking spot because the attendants of the hotel let two vehicles park in one parking spot in the and blocked 3 vehicles in the spots they were parked.

My room was not as clean as expected with broken furniture. I asked the front desk to have someone pick up the dirty towels outside of my door that was previously left. No one came and they remained there for my entire stay. The photos are very misleading.

Our room was not very clean. They are updating the property but need to do a lot more to stay competitive. I paid too much for a room in the shape mine was in. We were told they offer LEO discounts that would be applied when you checked in. We asked at check-in, and they said it couldn't be done after it was booked. It was a very frustrating experience. I wouldn't stay there again.

In 30 years of vacationing at Virgonia Beach, this was the worse hotel I've ever stayed at. Upon arrival there were no carts available to unload my luggage and the clerk wasnt really intereated in helping me find one. I had to change rooms 3 times. Firat room had a leg missing on the sofa bed. I had paid for 6 guests. 2nd room had a broken refrigerator and sheets on sofa bed were dirty and there was sand in the bed. The balcony had a puddle of water that was dripping from the room above. 3rd room was filthy too. No sheet on sofa bed and mattress was stained and disgusting. Mold on both shower curtain and window curtain. I stayed 4 nights and received no housekeeping services. No clean towels, no coffee no trash emptying. After the first night I found a housekeeper and asked for clean towels but she didnt speak English.i got some if what I asked for. By my forth night there was so much sand on the tile floor that you couldn't keep from getting it in your bed. And the rats!!! We watched them walk around in the parking lot every night. Open trash cans in the hallway where patrons had to dump their room trash is on an open floor just inviting the rats to come on in. I began asking for a refund my firat night but was told Ihad to speak to a manager, who didnt show up the entire time of my stay. He didn't answer my email either. Dont stay here.

It was a place to stay, though not clean, the staff was decent. The water pressure could not even clean sand off you in the shower. The location was great though, right in the middle of everything, if that’s what you’re looking for. i would not stay here again for the price, and i will not recommend it to everyone. (it was also pretty stinky)

The rooms are really good and spacious but it's just weird. Bare bones furnishings. A loveseat and 2 kitchen chairs. No tables at all. Of course being on the beach it is impossible to keep sand out but there was no way to clean it up. And to top it all off the smell of pot was overwhelming almost the entire stay. We like VA Beach and saving a little money but will definitely spend a little more next time.

The place is disgusted. It's dirty and smells bad. The bathtub with mildew, the toilet dirty. No toilet paper no towels. The electric stove greesy and the refrigerator dirty and smelly. No bedsheets and the mattresses dirty with breadcrumb. It was a bad experience for us. On top of everything my allergies got so bad. We did not stay there at all. Right away we went around the area to find another hotel. Management charged me for one night eventghough we didnt stay there. I took pictures of how bad the hotel is. The staff was very rude and nasty when i complained.

I stayed in Marjac approximately 5 years ago, and everything was very nice, for that reason I stayed there again, but this time it was very disappointing, the room they gave us seemed like they only changed the sheets and towels, the refrigerator, the kitchen, the bathroom and the floor were dirty, a bad smell throughout the suite, all the soap dispensers were empty, I had a very bad experience this time, the area is very nice all very close, but I will not stay in Marjac again because of the bad conditions in which they give you the room.

Only one elevator/stairs to go up and down. No service for garbage bag/towels/toilet paper/etc. The positive point is the stove if you want to cook, a big fridge/freezer, the beds are separate from the living room, nice view at the beach but the buildings that are more further foward on both side hide the boardwalk view.
