At the intersection of Victoria Street / Vasagatan is one of Gothenburg's most remarkable houses. It was built in 1890 and designed by H Hedlund and Y Rasmussen on behalf of SA Hedlund family. "Nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely stunning architecture on the exterior, interior design is something out of a movie - just exceptionally nice. Flawlessly clean, most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, staff was beyond nice. AND it’s not that expensive. This is a 5 star level hotel for the price of a less than desirable hotel back in the states. Info indicates it may be walking distance to the main part of the city - it is not. But you can walk for 10 minutes and hop on the tram very easily. Overall an amazing experience. "
