"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. The communal dining hall is very good, reasonably priced, and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. "Parking was good, property is well maintained and people are good at the registration office. The only complaint I have is with the bedding. When we stayed, it snowed in the night and the blankets and the comforter provided was very thin and we were not able to sleep in the night due to cold even after taking two blankets per person. The tent was unheated. I feel the management should have better blankets or let the people staying know in advance so that they prepare for it. The experience we had was uncalled for."
