"We stayed in a tent cabin, it was nice and spacious. There had been a snow storm a couple weeks prior which made for a muddy mess. But otherwise a great stay!"
"The rooms need updating, theres no extras. My room was gloomy and drab. It looked like something out of the 1960's. But we only slept there.Other then that the place was great. "
"The Ahwahnee hotel is conveniently located in Yosemite Valley and within walking distance to a couple of trails, as well as the Merced River. There is a bus stop at the hotel where you can catch a free shuttle to other areas of Yosemite Valley, which is perfect if you’re traveling during peak season and don’t want to deal with parking in other areas of the park. The common sitting areas are very comfortable with amble seating and huge fireplaces that you can sit in and warm up after a long day of hiking in cold weather. The views of Half Dome are fantastic and that alone makes the hotel worth it.
My only complaints about The Ahwahnee Hotel would be regarding the elevator and dining options. Only one elevator was working at the time of my visit and it kept getting stuck frequently, rendering it useless. I had to resort to using the stairs and being on the 3rd floor, this became a problem. Especially on check-out and check-in. I had to bring all my suitcases, along with my families, up and down the stairs, which was exhausting. Although, they did have someone tending to one elevator, as I mentioned, it kept getting stuck and was useless most of the time. In cases where it wasn’t stuck, there would be long wait times for the elevator service, which further delayed any planned trip for the day. At that point it was more convenient to walk up or down the stairs. Dining options at the restaurant or the bar are mediocre. The menu doesn’t have much to offer."
🌄 Luxe A-Frame Panoramic View Yosemite West Cabin - NEW AC and EV Charger🌄
10/10 Excellent
"Here’s a polished, enthusiastic version you can post:Book this location — you will not regret it!The cabin and views are absolutely amazing. It’s beautifully maintained, well stocked, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Everything about the space made it easy to relax and enjoy our trip. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. The host and housekeeper had an incredibly fast response time and treated us better than we’ve ever been treated at a Vrbo. Our contact with them wasn’t even about the cabin — it was due to weather and vehicle issues — and they immediately stepped up and went above and beyond any expectations. They truly saved our vacation.Jimmy and Maria are as amazing as Yosemite National Park itself. If we’re lucky enough to return, we will 100% book this place again!"
"We visited during a winter storm. The place is cozy and has great view of the winter wonderland outside. Host was really kind to offer us extra night of stay, if the road closure impacts our departure date."
Owl Moon Cabin - Rare jewel of a cabin located inside Yosemite National Park
10/10 Excellent
"Cabin was perfect for my husband and my trip to Yosemite. Most important- the bed was comfortable and there were lots of pillows. Fireplace was wonderful since it was so chilly this trip. The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware that is actually good and clean (so many rentals just throw their old pots and pans or some busted stuff from goodwill and call it a day). I was pleasantly surprised that everything was clean and nice. Took the trail down to Foresta Falls and was great. Will definitely be back here again. "
"Beautiful house. Great kitchen and lots space and games. Our grand kids were fascinated with the small TV with built-in VCR in the bar and they learned to play nine ball and eight ball. Great location - snow play in the neighborhood, easy access to Yosemite Valley and very short drive to Skiing at Badger Pass. "
