The best area to stay in Tourrettes-Sur-Loup is within the medieval village itself, particularly around the central square, Place de la Libération, and the winding streets leading off it.
This village is perched on a rocky outcrop, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance. The narrow, pedestrian-only streets are lined with historic stone houses, many of which have been beautifully restored into holiday rentals or small guesthouses. It's a truly authentic experience, with local artisans' workshops and small, independent shops dotted throughout.
For couples seeking a romantic and tranquil escape, staying within the village walls is ideal. You'll find charming accommodations with character, often featuring stone walls and exposed beams. Evenings can be spent enjoying a meal at one of the village's excellent restaurants, followed by a quiet stroll along the ramparts, taking in the illuminated views.
Families might also find the village centre appealing, especially if they appreciate a peaceful environment and the convenience of having everything within walking distance. Children can enjoy exploring the car-free streets, and there are small playgrounds nearby.
