Amazing hotel and free breakfast. Very clean. But in an area with a lot of drunks and druggies roaming the streets. But none cause harm just noisy. Still highly recommend this hotel

Ok, but their washing machine ruined my hoodie.
The hotel was fine. I stayed for 2 nights. I highly DO NOT recommend washing your clothes in the washing machine. One of my green tops got ruined. It looked like it got stuck in a greasy part of the washing machine, with various folded brown stains all around, but not on the white embroidery or white strings of my top. Also my white pants weren’t ruined. But the manager tried to say that my black clothes leaked onto my green top. First, I’ve washed all of these items together before with no problems. Second, if it were staining, my white pants would have also been stained. Staining cannot affect only one article of clothing in a laundry load. I tried to bring this up, to which the front desk said maybe I loaded the washing machine with too many clothes (I’ve used washing machines in Japan before so I already know they take a lesser load.) Finally, the front desk said that the manager told them it may have “already been dirty.” So on top of them trying to blame the brown marks on user error, he also accused me of lying. I really did not appreciate that. They weren’t able to give me any compensation for their washing machine ruining my top. Furthermore, there was no maid service to my room during my stay, and I could hear my neighbors vibrating alarm from their room every morning at 6am and 7am.

Very centrally located property, not too far from a Tokyo metro subway station. Plenty of food and night life. Only 2 subway stops from Harajuku, one stop from Shinjuku. Hotel slightly dated but overall good stay. Really liked breakfast served with stay for what it was.

Very old and dated hotel. I never wanted to stay inside my room. It did not feel relaxing at all. The walls are paper thin you can hear all your neighbours talking. You can hear everything happening in the hallway. You can people unlocking their doors with the card keys and people knocking on doors. It is in the party district so it’s very noisy at night. I was unable to get any sleep even with ear plugs. Only redeeming factor was that The staff was nice and helpful.

The personnel were kind. The cleanliness of the room was correct but the smell of the carpet in the hallway was rather unpleasant (probably the cigarette). The smell of the carpet in the hallway was rather unpleasant. The apartments are not insulated. We hear neighbours walking around, talking loudly at night and even a neighbour snoring.

Check in was quick and efficient, with helpful English speaking staff. The room was a good size for the price, with a very good air conditioning unit available. The free breakfast buffet was a bonus, with a fairly wide selection of food and drinks on offer. The hotel is in a good location within Shinjuku - close enough so everywhere is within walking distance but far enough away to not be kept awake by the street noise. Would stay here again.

Good clean hotel in the lively Kabukicho area of Shinjuku - close to all the bar’s & nightlife. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. Hotel itself was quiet but in a lively area so if you’re easily disturbed by people leaving bars in the early hours this probably won’t suit you.

Grea location, there is a metro station nearby, although the PR pass metro station is about a 10 minute walk. The rooms are small but clean and have really hot showers. The breakfast is big, but not very tasty, and it's the same every day. The staff are very friendly although they speak very lttle English.

The staff was very kind and accommodating and the hotel was in a good location. The rooms were kind of small (especially the bathrooms) but if you’re traveling to Tokyo on a budget, it will work just fine.

The property was very clean and nice. The rooms are as small as you would expect from a hotel in Japan. Shinjuku is very big and loud and busy, so maybe not the best place to stay with kids, but we still had a great time. The staff was unfriendly when I checked in, which was very unusual for Japan where everyone is so friendly. They also would only give us 2 pillows for the 4 people staying in our room, so that made our stay less comfortable. We stayed in 2 other Toyoko hotels during our travels in Japan, and they gladly gave us 4 pillows. Also, this was the one Toyoko that wouldn't let you take your breakfast up to your room, and the tables fill up fast, but the breakfast was delicious.

The hotel room was non-smoking and I did not smell smoke anywhere. The hotel staff was amazing and friendly and very helpful. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Everything else was great and as pictured.

Affordable, clean, not cramped, quiet (either quite noise-proof or just happened to be surrounded by polite neighbors?), easy check-in and check-out, and a good breakfast!

Good budget hotel not a fan of the area a lot of trash however it was incredibly convenient to the subway. Hotel itself is very clean, staff is very friendly & accommodating
