Great value and location
Good value hotel, great location only a few minutes from JR station , though in the night club area the room was quiet enough. Comfortable size for two good size bathroom and clean...many dining and shopping options all around ...

Could use A/C in the room, yet was quiet enough at night, leaving window open.

It was okay. Staff were pleasant, but my room smelled of smoke despite being non-smoking, but I suppose that is to be expected. I had to air it out the first night when it was ridiculously loud outside. Police with megaphones came around telling people to go home at around 4am. Very close to the red light district and very accessible to the rest of Shinjuku.

Unless you like smelling like cigarettes...
Place reeks of cigarettes, all the rooms are “smoking rooms”. Fabreeze won’t even cover the smell up. The place is very dated and run down. Stains on the furniture and very dusty. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere!

Older hotel but comfortable w/good location
Room was larger than most Japanese hotel rooms with a nice kING size bed. Overall comfortable and a nice quiet get away from the busy shinjuju streets. Area around the hotel always busy with plenty to see and do.

An average hotel
Never expect it is a fantastic hotel. But it just average for all, and it worth for what i paid. Consider in a convenient location, 8-10 minutes walks distance from the Higashi-shinjuku station(Toei Oedo Line) and about the same distance from the Shinjuku station(inter-change). If you just need an accommodation, may consider it. The location consider a downtown, so is quite happening even the late night. One interest thing is the hotel provided a small coffee machine, that is what my friends love it so much as they enjoy coffee very much! (i have stayed with a 5 stars hotel in tokyo but without this fantastic device)

Great hotel
Overall pretty great hotel just that the whole hotel is smoking hotel and if you are a non smoker u will be smelling quite a bit of smoke when u enter the rooms. They provide febreeze in every room so basically u will have to empty 1/3 of it when u want the room smoke smell-free.

Not the greatest, but ok
I found the front desk to be very helpful, and the rooms were a little bigger than many of the other (business) hotels we had stayed at in Japan. However, the surrounding area is essentially the red light district of Shinjuku, and the hotel seems to be giving into that a bit. While not a full on love hotel, they do rent rooms for a rest, but I don't think they advertise that outside of the lobby. Also mind you that the area still feels completely safe, and is probably one of the safest red light district in the world. The rooms were dated quite a bit and the TV had something like 16 channels. VOD was limited to 4 channels that worked more like HBO rather than actually Video On Demand. The area has a lot of restaurants and is right next to the Golden Gai as well. Its a bit of a walk from Shinjuku station (10-15 mins maybe), but is definitely still easy to get to and from. There was pan flute music from the love hotel down the street, but I couldn't hear it from my room, though I could hear it from the hallway. Overall, not a bad hotel and the area isn't bad if you know what you're getting in to, but I'd probably find a different place next time.

It Served Its Purpose
The hotel was not fancy, but it did the job. I was out exploring the city for the majority of the day and only rented the hotel to sleep, so it was fine. The building was a bit old and there were stains on the walls hidden behind the curtains, but it didn't bother me cuz there was a bed to sleep on, a TV to watch, a mini fridge, shower/bath, complimentary water bottles, free Wi-Fi, and heat. The location is about a 10-15 walk from Shinjuku station and close to many restaurants, shops, arcades, and convenient stores. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is in the middle of night life and later at night, there were some drunks by the hotel, but it's a fun city and that's what it's about. No major complaints.

Right in the heart of it....
Hotel was great, room was clean and well serviced, our only gripe was the room had been smoked in. Windows opened so you can get fresh air. Location is excellent, only 10 minutes walk to Shinjuku station, and the hotel is right in the nightclub/bar district of Kabukicho. About 2 blocks from the station is the best coffee in the area, shop called Segafredo, beats the dishwater from Starbucks hands down. Would stay there again.

Reasonable price , 5 mins walk from shopping area
8 mins walk from JR Shinjuku station, 10 mins walk from airport bus stop. Shinjuku area has all you need eg. ~3 shopping streets, ~10 department stores, main nightlife areas both straight and gay, 24 hrs drink bars and restaurants. Such a good location for shopaholics, nightlife adventurers who just need a room to sleep, shower and go.(Train operates till midnight, if you are a night owl, better stay this area) Good price. but not recommend for family trip, better just for friends and single who want to see city life / nightlife / and shopping.

Excellent hotel for budget travellers
The hotel is excellent for the price. It will be great for budget travelers who is not concern too much about hotel service, concierge service etc. The free wifi and basic room amenities are sufficient for most travelers. It takes about 8-10 mins walk to Shinjuku Station. So if you need come back to hotel frequently, it may not be ideal for the long walk back. Also, it may not be suitable for travelers with young children as the surrounding establishments are mostly adult entertainments. There are alot of eateries nearby too.

Poor wifi
We selected this hotel based on the location and free wifi in rooms. To our disappointment the wifi was really poor in our room (but fine in the lobby) and we struggled to book accommodation and look up train information for our next destination. Shinjuku is a very lively and happening area. Unfortunately the hotel is situated a few blocks away from the best parts of shinjuku's shopping and nice restaurants, in a street with mostly late night venues and what appeared to be strip clubs. On a positive note, the staff were efficient. We left our credit card in the room after checking out, however left our bags behind while we did a spot of shopping. When we realised and returned to the hotel only 10mins later, the staff had already collected our credit card and had it put aside with our bags.

Central location, close to station
Really central location. Close to shinjuku station, about a 5min walk if that. Would recommend to stay here if your not planning on spending heaps of time in your hotel room. Clean rooms but not a lot of space but didn't bother me at all. Window able to open for some fresh air as we got a smoking room when we are not smoking but was not overly smokey in the room For somewhere cheap with good location, stay here. If wanting somewhere with facilities, probably not the best place

Reasonable hotel located in Shinjuku area
The stay in the hotel was fine, the staff was responsive and always willing to help and their English was sufficient to communicate. The hotel is located in 15mins walk from Shinjuku train station, the nearest subway station is 5 mins walk. You can easily get taxi in the area and it's pretty reasonable. Overall the room was clean and well-maintained, the size was standard for hotels in Japan. Breakfast was not provided, wi-fi reception was poor on all floors that we stayed. We managed to connect to wi-fi being close to the room door. Value for the money was ok.

Cheap and great
The stay was quite nice, the beds could have been a little softer. The room was quite aged especially the bathroom, but still functional for the price that we paid. The location is not too bad, only 10mins walk to the Shinjuku train station. Its located in the heart of Shinjuku's night club/red light district area so don't be surprised when you get hit up by the locals. I would stay again, but not as long as I did this trip, would rather prefer somewhere that has free WIFI also.

Hourly rated hotel used by sex workers
It was located right in the heart of the red light district. The bathroom was stained. Even toilet seat cover had stains I had to wipe clean. Then it "rained" in the toilet in the morning just before we went out. It stopped when we got back but wet floor mat & towels remained. Only saving grace is warm toilet seat.

Good location, big room, no internet.
It's an easy 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station, though the path you take will be crowded. The room is pretty large (not as big as an American hotel room, but bigger than most Japanese). The bathroom is normal sized, and my room had a large closet. The hallways are pretty dingy, but the room itself was clean enough. The staff doesn't speak very much English, but we made it work. I felt perfectly safe, even as a solo gaijin. Kabukicho can get loud on Saturdays. There is some sort of bar or restaurant in the area that play pan-flute music 24/7. If you're a super sensitive sleeper, I'd recommend ear plugs. I didn't have any issue falling asleep. Only problem with this hotel is the lack of internet. No wifi or hookups anywhere in the hotel. This was frustrating, but the big room and friendly staff made it an overall good experience.
