"The TEN-YU was an exceptional experience. The staff recieve you as if you just arrived home. The whole ambience is of relaxation and de stressing. Enjoyed a fabulous aromatherapy massage at the onsite AnSpa, which was in the most serene location. The Tepanyaki dinner was something else!! Beautifully prepared starters and delicious cuts of the best Kobe beef. We were able to unwind immediately from a long trip and made it a stay i will never forget!!!"

"The staff was friendly and the breakfast beautifully presented and delicious. The bed linens were old and there was a moldy smell in the main rooms. The toilet seat functions were intermittent and the heater was loud so that we had to turn it off. The property could use some updating."

"My room was clean and spacious. The staff are extremely kind and helpful but also very hands off, giving you lots of privacy and freedom. The space is quirky and cool! Definitely a unique place to stay with local character- no frills onsen open to guests and not trying to be something its not. I would definitely come back here if I am ever in Hakone.
