"Sophie welcomed us nicely, she was very friendly on our arrival and took her time to show us around and have a lil chat. The kitchen is very well set up too with a proper cooking stove and oven."

"I stayed in the 8-bed dorm for a few nights. The room was basic but clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. Each bed had its own power outlet and light, which was really convenient. The lockers were a good size, though you’ll need your own lock. Since it’s an 8-bed dorm, it could get a bit noisy at night, but that’s expected in a hostel. "This is a lovely holiday home thank-you, with a lovely view, and nice and quiet. The home is warm and spacious. It was great having the master bedroom on the same floor as the open plan living, dining, kitchen area. We would definitely like to come and stay again sometime. The ferry trip over to Lyttelton for the Saturday market was terrific."

"We spent 5 nights in this property and it exceeded our expectations. The location is spectacular, watching sunrise each morning from the main bed was memorable. The thoughtful design features in the house including doubled glazed windows, fireplace with plenty of wood and heated floors in the bathroom made us feel cosy on winter days. Communication was easy and the owner/managers were very accomodating with our individual requests. Thanks for a great stay, we appreciated your property and highly recommend it."

"We had such a wonderful stay at Hamish & Ronene’s tiny house. Such a cozy, peaceful and warm refuge during the wintertime. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, watching the sunrise from the loft bed (super comfy!) and relaxing on the couch with the sun streaming through the window. The tiny house is in an unreal location - a short walk down to both Sumner and Taylor’s Mistake on beautiful trails. Hamish & Ronene are so lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
