"This was a very nice hotel for a family of 3 with a toddler. The most spacious room we have stayed at in all of the hotels we were in while in Japan! It fit 4pcs of our luggage (2big & 2small) with more space for our toddler to crawl and walk around. Staff was also kind to help fill out our forms for luggage delivery. They also showed us the one elevator that lead us outside without having to use the entrance stairs considering we had a baby stroller. The breakfast buffet was also good. Downside was they didn’t have enough pillows to offer us. Nishiki market was 18-20min walk away which isn’t too bad considering we walk a lot while in Japan anyways. Subway is also not too far from the hotel. There’s also convenient store and grocery store nearby! Very convenient that they offer a free shuttle to the Golden temple and bamboo forest - what a bonus! We had a great time during our stay as a family! "

"A fantastic hotel with incredibly welcoming staff. It’s conveniently located above a subway station and just a 15-minute walk to central Kyoto’s attractions, shops, and restaurants. The area has plenty of dining options and is only minutes from the castle. The beds and room were extremely comfortable, and the small gym and attached coffee shop were great additions. Highly recommend, especially for the exceptional service."

"Giving this hotel a 5-star because it had everything we needed such a toiletries, robe, breakfast, and more!… most importantly, our room had a smart TV with Netflix/Hulu AND a free shuttle service to the Golden Temple and the Bamboo Forest/Monkey Forest! As a first time tourist, little things like this really makes a hotel stand out compared to the thousands of others. The only thing they could work on is providing tourists with general travel information, recommendations, tours etc since we didn’t feel as supported. Staff could improve on their English to communicate better. "

"Amazing hotel. Extremely caring and friendly staff. Luxurious rooms and tremendous amenities - loved the onsen and spa. Only downside was a lack of less expensive options for casual dining or breakfast cafe if you preferred not to use buffet. "
