I have stayed at the Horse and Jockey several times now. The rooms are simple (and the beds an le comfy and cozy all we need). Tthe shared bathrooms are great. Nice and clean and have an art deco style vibe. The pub had a great menu and the vibe is good. Will continue to come back.

Great experience at the Horse and Jockey. Staff very approachable and friendly. Room clean and ideal for our night going to see Dua Lipa.

Horse and Jockey was a pleasant surprise. A lovely old building but very well looked after and with friendly and helpful staff. The history of the hotel made it all the more intresting.

The Hotel was fairly nice the renovation was good, the room was small, the lights on the night stands didn't work, there was an ugly stain on the Dooner cover, and there was NO hot water in the morning I ended up with a very cold shower. The staff were very nice and the pub part was very nice.

Very good Olympic Park option for solo travellers

You get value for money at the Horse and Jockey. Great location near Olympic Park and Homebush train station, the pub does good food, the bed was new and very comfortable, new TV, new aircon, the bathrooms are newly renovated. Good sized communal laundry with iron and ironing board is very handy. My room was small, the fridge is communal, and there’s 2 male, 2 female and 1 unisex communal bathrooms. But as a solo traveller, it was an excellent option. Other rooms are bigger. As a bonus, it is a beautiful building.

Beautiful accomodation and super comfy bed. The only thing I can fault is that there isn’t an exhaust fan in the bathroom, so it was hot and damp the whole time.
