"Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Stunning views from the rear of the property. Very clean and had every thing we needed for our stay. Pub just a few minutes walk away with good food. Otherwise quite remote but there are shops a short drive away. Perfect location for a countryside retreat."

"A lovely old hotel with good food and cosy rooms. Very pet-friendly, although dogs aren't allowed in the breakfast room. I'd certainly love to stay here again."
"A lovely hotel. Interesting characterful room. Nice friendly staff and a delicious evening meal in the bar.
We enjoyed a little walk round the village. There was a lovely village store which sells everything! An art shop, flower shop, tea room and a beautiful church. All surrounded by stunning scenery.."
"Very comfortable and quiet location. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Cleanliness excellent only let down by stain on bathroom ceiling. Would not hesitate to return or recommend "
Remarkable barn conversion for 6 & 2 dogs, w/ free WiFi, open fire & 50 yards from the pub

"The Arches has the potential to be an amazing rental property. Muker is a stunning countryside location, if you don’t mind the long drive over the fells to start any journey. There are some negatives, a few already addressed with the owner, who kindly offered a small refund. No house sign for “the arches” at the property & the key was hidden in thick plant growth. We had been forewarned the washing machine was broken. The kitchen/lounge/stairs was very dirty, small leaf particles dirt & dust adorned the floors. We tried to vacuum but it smelt & was full of dirt & dog hairs, so we cleaned using a dustpan & brush.Downstairs was tired & needed a deep clean & refreshing to make brighter. The lounge smelled really strong of wet dogs & the smell from the sofas lingered on clothing if sat on. We therefore didn’t use the lounge. Cooker glass was dirty, food was left in freezer & a couple of the cupboards. Upstairs the bedrooms were large & the beds very comfortable. The rooms were light and airy and the bedding clean. There was a lovely view from 2 of the bedroom windows, the 3rd at the back of the property had no view. The bathroom was dated. The shower had to remain on “eco” to avoid a cold shower. A note to this effect would be useful for future residents. Cold tap drips if not turned off hard. The night storage heaters had been left on when we arrived in 30o summer temp. With a few amendments this will be a great property to return to. "
"The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again."
A superb holiday home within the Yorkshire Dales, w/ Wifi, wood burner & stones throw from pub.
10/10 Excellent
"Very pretty and had all we needed for self catering. Maybe a baking sheet, smaller saucepan and a baking dish would have been useful - not a big deal!Lovely to be next to the beck, loads of birds to watch and interesting places to visit.Drive from The Tan Inn to Hawes not for the faint hearted, narrow and very steep.Noticed a funny mark in the oven which I couldn't clean so emailed the office and someone came the next day to clean it - excellent. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay. Just to say, I am a right leg amputee but managed fine using my prosthesis most of each day and my wheelchair downstairs in the evenings."
A fantastic, spacious, holiday home which comfortably sleeps 12 guests and 2 well behaved

"What a great find. We needed a place that was big enough to accommodate all our family and this did not disappoint. Spacious rooms, fabulous garden and brilliant location. Everything you could possibly need for your stay was catered for. The house was spotlessly clean. We all loved it and looking forward to booking again for next year. "
