The location really couldn’t be better for exploring the town of Richmond, the house it’s self is beautiful, the room was gorgeous (Wesley suite), the breakfast was more delicious and you had a good choice to choose from, all in all highly recommended, would definitely return

Pros - warm welcome (free drink), good communications, great location, cosy room and comfy bed, fantastic breakfast
Cons - in busy times parking in square might be tricky, little bit of tlc needed (broken tiles, chips on corner of walls)
Lovely fresh breakfast with good quality ingredients. A complimentary welcome drink was a nice unexpected touch. Perfect location on the doorstep to a lovely little town centre.
Needs decorating. Great location, friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast.

Was a lovely b&b felt so welcome from start to finish arrived to a friendly welcome and complimentary drinks and help to our rooms which was beautiful and cozy like a home from home all the finishing touches dressing gowns even a hot water bottle the beds was so comfy and lovely soft sheets had a fantastic night sleep didn't want to get up.
The breakfast was a definite 10/10 honestly if you get a chance i would highly recommend it i will definitely be returning
Thank you
Very easy check in, the owner greeted me and even arranged for me to have a breakfast earlier than usual times due to having to leave earlier. Very pleasant stay and will come back
Genuine historical building, welcoming host. Amazingly good english breakfast- all meat from local butchers. Wonderful cake shop in town (Little Drummer Boy).
Lovely period house full of character with 3 floors of bedrooms. The rooms are elegantly appointed with real antique furniture. Our room had a claw foot bath and comfy double bed. Breakfast was a feast of locally produced sausages, bacon, eggs, black pudding and bread. I never eat black pudding but this was delicious so give it a try. Friendly owner was very helpful.
Staff were immensely helpful and friendly, the cooked to order breakfast was excellent and the check in process easy. It’s a traditional B&B which is good value for money, our room (Wensly) was spacious and traditional, if you want ultra modern then this is not the place for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay would go back again and highly recommend to others especially the ideal location for shopping, National heritage, museums and walks.
It was a lovley old building and the floors & ceiling reflected the age of the place. The room was huge it had an open fire but we didnt use it had a stand alone bath but we never used. The shower was an electric standard model a bit of a dissappointment but it done the job. Overall a nice place.
Quirky old building with character and comfort. Nigel greeted us on arrival and was very friendly. The room had everything we could have wanted and the breakfast was superb with what was obviously farm fresh produce.
Really lovely boutique hotel with friendly staff and delicious big breakfast! Room had a little en-suite dressing room and huge slipper bath - only downside was that there wasn’t a shower but the bath was a nice change for the one night we stayed!

Highly recommended
Central location near market square. Really helpful over parking options. Warm welcome (including a welcome drink).
Quirky old house with sloping floors.
Excellent breakfast.
Downside was that there wasn’t a shower, just a bath tub with a hand held shower.

Property is very old. Our room was completely lopsided so wouldn’t be good for someone with mobility issues. Needs a bit of spruce up as the photos don’t show the property’s current condition. Carpets need replacing and flooring in bathroom had cracked tiles. Very quiet though and couldn’t hear the noisy pubs around which were playing loud music with noisy shouting in the gardens. Windows have secondary glazing which kept it quiet. Breakfast was nice but tables close together. Property asked for cash - no reason given but felt odd. Okay for a nights stay or as a base to explore the dales.
On arrival we was asked to fill in a form which included our personal information this was left in the hallway as we stepped in the front door.We waited for someone to show us our room, on entry to the room we was offered a welcoming drink, The room wasn't what i expected due to the dust and dirt and old worn-out furniture .Windows with cobwebs and dirty ,Broken blinds, Fire place was covered in dust from the fire which must have been left for weeks due to the weather.
Ornaments filled the walls and all around the room wasn't cleaned completely dusty.
The chairs that sat in the room wasn't safe the legs were nearly off , the cover of the arms had holes in. There is a beautiful bath in the room, but not useful due to no place to put toiletries or towels. Dressing table was in the darker side of the room, no lights too be able to see to do make-up, nor no plugs for hairdryer, i really didn't expect to have to sit on the floor to do the above mentioned. The bathroom, was truly awful for hygiene reasons, who wants to use glasses that are sat on a shelf in line with the toilet. The bed itself was very comfortable and clean linen. Room service wasn't quite what we expected, the welcome drinks glasses were still sat in the room on Monday even though they staff been in the room to place the breakfast menu. No serving was given.Breakfast was good selection. dining room wasn't good, you sat in line alongside the other guests, table and chairs don't fit unless you sit at an angle.
