"Fabulous location on Mackinaw City within walking distance to restaurants, shopping. Room 216 faced the lake and beach and we were able to sleep with the slider open. Very relaxing and beautiful!"

"Breakfast was not great "

"Stayed 2 nights with husband and 2 kids while visiting Mackinac Island. The hotel is an excellent location. While there is a free shuttle available to take you to one of the ferry docks, it is a quick 10 minute walk, so we walked there and back. There a few dining options and an ice cream shop nearby within walking distance as well, although most seem to close early in the evenings. The hotel is a collection of 4 hotel buildings (all named after the great lakes) and the Reception/pool building. We stayed at the Huron building with great lake views. The grounds are well kept. There is a lake access, bonfire pit where fires are lit every night from 8-10pm, a small playground and an outdoor pool with a hot tub. There is breakfast served in the mornings that was pretty well stocked with eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, as well as cereals, waffle makers and pastries, hot coffee and juices. The indoor pool and hot tub were clean. It was great to soak the sore muscles in the hot tub after biking more than 16 miles on the island. The room was fairly standard size, not very big, but it was clean. The little balcony was a nice addition although we didnt have much time to use it. Saturday night we were aboe to watch the firework show from the balcony. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel. "

"The front staff were very helpful and nice the house keeping also very sweet. The hotel was great nice and clean beds are very comfortable I just wished they had bigger pillows. We skipped the breakfast so not sure about it. It’s a short walk from the hotel to the ships. "

"I would go back to this hotel, maybe other hotels have a better view or are newer, but you can't beat the price. The breakfast could improve a little, if all you need to sleep, this hotel is ok, I really didn't try any of the amenities, but every thing is driving distend, there is a supermarket across the street."

"Close to the ferry, we used Arnold, to get to Macinac Island. The kids also used the water park next door, they said the outdoor pool was warmer than inside."

"Great location! Comfy rooms! Good breakfast. Fun beach n bar- beach needs work at waters edge - too rocky to enjoy water. Staff was excellent! Beverly and Cherie helped us on many different levels- very helpful and enjoyable!"

"This hotel has a great location. It is downtown and there is an easy walk to many stores and restaurants. It was clean and comfortable. I will stay again."
