Very impressed with all of the thoughtful extras included from milk in the fridge a variety of beverages, bath salts etc. Adele was a lovely host, very helpful with local information. "Just had a 2 night stay at Ascot House with our dog Sid. I can’t praise it enough for cleanliness, breakfast, room size and decor with a fabulous bathroom. The staff at breakfast were extremely friendly and helpful (I have Coeliac disease which they catered for very well). Owner was very welcoming and even came to personally say goodbye. The house was beautiful and very elegant."

"Cute little B&B located just a few mins from the train station and about 15 min walk into the city centre. The room we were in was at the very top. Note, lots of stairs and to get to room 12 is a small awkward staircase but all good for us. Room was simple, though lacking headroom in places, had everything needed including AC, washer, sink, cooktop and fridge. Would stay again!"

"Lovely guest house which is half a mile walk from city centre. Very nice area. We were on 2nd floor. Lovely clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Parking was reserved for us and lucky to find a space just around the corner. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again if we come back to York. "
