"If you are traveling to Yokohama this is the place to stay. We arrived about 10:30 PM after more than 20 hours of traveling. The staff were so friendly, greeted us with smiles at the door and took our luggage to our room. Our room was spotless and there was plenty of room to unwind. We had breakfast at the buffet in the hotel and it was delicious. From fresh fruit, an omelette station, different breakfast meats and local favorites. The cruise ship port is located about 15-20 minutes walking distance but if you choose to take a taxi, they were on site when we left and was less than $10 US. We stayed two nights before our cruise and there were plenty of sites to see within walking distance. Overall we could not have chosen a better place to stay. "

"Let me preface this review by saying I am old and suffer from chronic pain. As such, I tend to judge hotels hardly if they can't manage to have a remotely comfortable bed. It's why I can no longer stay at capsule hotels like I could in my youth. So, bearing that in mind, if you are young, fit and can sleep on your back/on a flat, harsh surface, you can add a star to my review and ignore the start. Onto the review. This place was a little confusing. The name of the hotel appears to just be the check in part across the street, the actual hostel has another name and is delightfully retro. It feels like it was built in the 70s, if that. It's a bit run down. There's no elevator. The black on brown doors makes the numbering basically invisible, especially with the dank lighting. It's also one of those places where basic amenities are an extra. That being said, if not for the bed which was hard as a rock, it's fine. The showers work. The door locks work. The internet works. And just a short walk from a main street, a bus stop and a train station. Not too bad. Between the state of the bathrooms alone (but also elsewhere) and the fact those who stay are required to strip the bedding themselves upon checking out, I surmise they have no cleaners. Between that and the very haphazard wiring, scary even, especially in the bathrooms; the vibe isn't great. At the right price, it's fine I suppose. But very very low standards. "

"Staff was more than welcoming to us. Friendly, clean, plenty of amendments and no need to bring toiletries. The hotel provided everything, even razors and aftershave. Definitely recommend."

"Hotel is well located near Chinatown with convenience stores and restaurants nearby. About 10mins walk from Kannai Station. This is our 2nd stay in the hotel. This time we're given a smaller room than before. It was tight. Bed was tucked to a corner and getting onto the bed against the wall is tough. Bed is quite hard and the 1 pillow per person is rather soft. Other than that, everything you'd need is provided, including pyjamas, toiletries, tea & kettle and basic skincare products in sample sachets. Towels are changed daily and they're hung in a plastic bag at your door in the morning even when your room is not serviced. Breakfast changed over the 2 mornings we were there. Spread is small but adequate. Onigiri are individually packed which makes it convenient for you to bring back to your room if the small breakfast area is full. Coffee is available at all hours at the breakfast room. You can leave your luggage for free at the self serve area before & after check in & out. Hotel is good for short stay."
