"We arrived on Friday and the water was turned off. The repairs were done but the water was not working. When we left the property at 6 pm it still was not working. When we returned later it was on. Our room was never cleaned on Saturday. We returned to the hotel at 4pm and it was not done. We were ok with towels so we did not call the front desk to report that our room was not cleaned."

"The property was immaculate. Clean hotel vibes with the German Village charm and coziness. Rather firm bed, which is great for those who like that. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to whip up a quick breakfast. Couches were very comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets to cozy up with. TVs were nice and easy to use. Back porch was comfortable to sit and drink a cup of coffee in the morning. The ladder to the loft is a little different to climb (as it is not at an angle), so probably best suited for kids/teens/folks with no physical limitations. Window dressings were great, save for the one high window in the bedroom that could not be covered. We woke with the sun each morning. Overall, really great!"

"The Schwartz Castle was absolutely wonderful! We loved this historic place. We were here for a wedding at High Line Car House, & it was a perfect location, just a short walk to the venue! Quaint area, even just off the highway, you didn’t hear it. Lots of coffee shops nearby, restaurants & a great deli right across the street. There is no yard, there is a small area in back with a table & seating for 6, & a cute area in front if you wanted to enjoy the outdoors, but we could take the kids to Schiller park for them to play, not a far walk. We had 9 adults & 4 kids staying in the house, & we had plenty of space, the basement was a great hit with the kids & us adults. The owner has thought of everything you will need for your stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with whatever you would want. The coffee bars were fully stocked with all kinds of coffees & different creamers, plus to go coffee cups provided. The bathrooms were all provided with makeup removers, extra toilet paper, Kleenex tissue boxes, plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash in each shower, plenty of hand soap. Everything was clean, beds comfortable. I’ve never rented a place before that had extra stuff, that we didn’t have to go to the grocery store for something, Brent has thought of it all!! The popcorn & toppings was a big hit too with the kids! We ALL enjoyed our stay, & would absolutely rent this again. Thank you Brent for being such a wonderful host & letting us enjoy your place!"

"The kitchen was awesome at this house. The upstairs air conditioner did not work and it was very hot outside so we did not use the upstairs bedroom shower should have a slip mat and tissues in the bathroom would be nice. The carpet up the stairs had a peculiar smell could be animal urine but the house was very darling and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much Parking could be an issue we moved A trash container to gain a space close to the house. The back patio and stairs could use a good power washing. Also, when I rent these homes, I do like it if they wash their comforters each time someone stays. We were told to leave the comforters on the beds."

"I was in town for a business conference with Equis Financial. It was a quaint and beautiful temporary dwelling. It fulfilled all my needs. I especially liked that I could send my license plate of my car and get free parking. It had that extra touch like you receive on high quality cruise ships. The towels were rolled and there was even a stamp on the toilet paper. All German style for storing clothing as well as an area to hang clothes up. I was able to connect into and receive youtube and other. Jennifer was extremely accommodating to my individual needs. It was nice to have a full sized refrigerator and cooking abilities. Beautiful cobblestone street and evening table and chair area in the back yard. The bed was very comfortable."
