"Returned to Sarasota to drop off our son to school and decided to stay at the Embassy Suites again. Our first visit =excellent from check-In through check/out. 2’d visit = disappointed will seek a different hotel when returning to Sarasotas due to the hotel clerk that checked us in. Personality check needed"

"Everything else about my stay at the hotel was completely OK. The room and service were fine, but I am very unhappy with their unfair billing policy.At check-in, the front desk told me they were going to fully charge my card $150 instead of doing a standard temporary hold. Taking the money completely out of my account instead of just putting a pending hold on it is a terrible system. It ties up funds unnecessarily.While the rest of the stay was fine, this financial policy is very inconvenient. The hotel needs to use normal authorization holds like almost every other hotel does. Thanks"

"We only went to the Aloft to sleep when our condo building was out of A/C for a couple of days. We picked the Aloft because it is a 5 minute walk from our condo. The people at the desk were very friendly and fast for check in and check out. The location is also great for going to downtown restaurants. Would be better if they had a good breakfast. They have a dinner menu at the bar, but it's bar food, hamburgers and such. The room was spacious and worked well. I loved the easy to use alarm clock. The bathroom needs a night light for being able to find the toilet when you get up at night, or at least a light switch you can find in the dark."
