"Great family space with beautiful garden and deck area with hammocks that were enjoyed immensely. Loads of books, toys for the 3 year old. excellent kitchen, very well equipped. Will very likely make a return trip as the area is full of historical significance and plenty more to see."

"Such a lovely home, with a bathroom for every bedroom and a beautiful deck out front with a view of the water. The only note I have is that it’s not super clear which front entrance is which (the home is split in to 2 rentals), so we almost walked in to the wrong home. Otherwise, wonderful stay and lovely hosts!"

"A lovely property, a newly renovated villa in a quiet location surrounded by fields. Mostly well equipped, but lacking a few details like somewhere to hang towels in the bathrooms. Bath plug leaked and TV turned itself on at full volume at 7.30 am!! Good location for access to Twin Coast rail trail."

"This spot was perfect for our family (2 adults and a 5 year old). Very close to everything but removed enough that it was peaceful. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the deck at sunset and had everything we needed. The hosts were so friendly, responded quickly to messages, and accommodating. They checked in a few times to make sure everything was good, but overall gave us lots of privacy. They went out of their way help with our laundry so we didn’t loose any time exploring the area. "The house is well maintained and has a beautiful view. The property manager was "all business" - but was responsive when help was requested. Only one bedroom was made available - the other bedrooms were locked. (I some times am restless and might have made use of the second bedroom - though in all fairness I didn't raise the issue.)"

"Beautiful batch with everything you could need for your stay. The kids loved it and made friends with some kids from the camp ground and lots of spotlight games were played until late at night 😁 The house is lovely and big and even though we were 2 families in it we never felt on top of each other. Will definitely be back!"

"Our booking was by pure fluke. We were staying in Mangawhai and every holiday rental was totally booked until we came across this beauty. Amy, our host and son Finn welcomed us to their piece of paradise with open arms and big smiles. We were then greeted by horses outside our window, an immaculate fully self contained flat with the most comfortable bed ive ever slept in and a swimming oasis at our feet. Everything about our stay was magical, right down the the friendly locals at the store 2mins...

"Has everything you need and more. Tucked away down a cul-de-sac. An awesome deck overlooking the bay, with a BBQ for those summer nights (and winter). Plenty of outdoor space for family & close to the beach for those early AM walks. Would definitely stay again."
