Having stayed many years ago and loved it, the motel looked unkept and unloved and was expensive. It is disappointing that there is no longer a restaurant. Very limited dining facilities are available in the town. My meal was over cooked and overpriced.

The property was a little difficult to see as signage is faded. The room was very nice and clean and suitable to our needs. The only thing I have to fault is that it was noisy as other guests were not considerate of others

Rang to cancel the room and u get an answering service to leave message or ring the taven but by the time someone calls u its to late so it cost 170 for a.room that i could nt stay in as i was told.to self isolate

The room was modern and very nice. Noise not too bad. When I checked in late (dark) I was given a room number. However I wasn’t told where it was located. I wanted a cup of tea too but there was only coffee in my room. Very comfortable stay though

There was nobody in the reception. I had to go to the hotel across the street. They was not good at checking in this motel. I wasted time before opening the room door.

Recently Renovated !!
I have stayed here before and was reluctant to stay here again but to my surprise the room had been recently renovated. New bathroom, new furnishings, new bed, new air conditioner and new carpet !! The hotel is in the main street next to the tavern so the location was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation to stay here again.

A disappointing experience
The facility was under renovation during the period of our stay. It was very dusty. Both restaurant and atrium were closed. No one was at reception the whole time and we needed to get the keys from the neighbouring tavern. We tried to call the hotel but not one was answering. There was no WiFi. No glasses, dishes or cutleries were provided except for 2 cups and a teaspoon. They should have reduced the rates while the motel was under renovation to be fair to their customers.

Comfortable Bed in a Great Location
The room had everything I needed and the bed was quite comfortable. The room was well appointed with good sized TV, air conditioner and fridge. The hot water was really hot and water pressure was great. The location of the motor inn was right next to the tavern and on the main street. It was literally a 3 minute walk to the chinese restaurant and subway.

The Roxby Downs Motor Inn is located in a great location, within walking distance to shops and pub. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and tidy with every thing you need.

We did the Roxby Downs tour and it was great . The room was basic but the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly 😃

Somewhere to stay in Roxby Downs.
I found the room to be in need of renovating. everything was a bit tired, including the bed. The hotel location was good but everything in Roxby is with in a 5 minute drive. The room was clean and had coffee / tea facilities and a fridge. I also found that the noise from the next unit could be heard clearly through the wall, Unfortunately the room next door had their television on all night so I found it very difficult to sleep !!

Stayed for a night in January 2019. Reception was closed however there was clear note to get service from nearby tavern. Room initially offered was not what was booked but was resolved quickly and in a friendly manner. Room was clean, reasonably comfortable but buildings etc looked a little tired. Cistern needed to be turned off at wall. Tavern food was huge and there were a few eateries nearby. Breakfast was not available except at service station (about 1km away) on Mondays. Was a very quiet time of year. Checkout was simple with box provided for key.

Shower tap came off, air conditioner noisy, in general room is run down. Its a pity as it uses to be really nice and top rated in the early days.

I stayed in this motel 13 years ago & nothing has changed. It is in dire need of a makeover. Not just a makeover but the simple things that one would expect like tissues & a compendium of operating things in the room along with points of interest included were missing. The built in furniture had seen better days with the wood disintegrated where the tea & coffee making facilities were housed. Stains on the carpet. The reception was closed at 6pm when I arrived so I had to make my way to the tavern to collect the key. I rang the tavern to order room service & was put on hold for 20 minutes before I could place my order. The bathroom was 80's style. The room rate definitely didn't reflect what was on offer. I have been told that the rooms will be renovated soon. Let's hope that they include the 1%'era that currently aren't included.

Good Location
It was over priced - $175 for what was a very tired room looking out over a main thoroughfare - It reminded me of the the accommodation going across the Nullarbor in 1992. Air-conditioner was very noisy, TV had to be very loud. I could go on and on.

Oasis in the desert
Was lovely room with a beautiful pool ....like an oasis after a long journey ...we were very wowed, wasnt expecting that. Great food across the road at the tavern and a quiet and peaceful sleep. Was off season so it was very nice having the pool facilities to ourselfwith access from the rooms wall too wall patio doors It was a bit tired and needed some attention in the bathroom but it was clean ...very enjoyable stay

OK but can't recommend it.
It was a Saturday evening, before the time stated for latest check in and nobody was at Reception, which was not easy to find. I had to drive around the complex twice before I could see it. Go to the restaurant the sign said. I went to the restaurant and they sent me across to the hotel to pick up the key to my room. I went to the bar and asked and was then told, Oh you have to go to the cashier in the pokies room. Great welcome to the motel - not. There was no info to help us know what was available at the motel or in the town in the way of eateries etc.. The provisions that you would normally expect, were not up to scratch. To top it off we awoke in the morning to find that a sliding glass door that opened almost straight on to the footpath, wasn't locked, and couldn't be locked. Two positives were 1. The staff were nice, and not rude, and 2. the room was clean. Unfortunately the only motel in town. I'll try the caravan park next time.
