"We had to change room because the bottom of the shower was cracked and leaking in the bathroom. The second room had mold in the shower. The floors had not been washed for a while. It looks more like a motel. The breakfast was very good and luckily it was included in our price otherwise it would have cost 18$US per person. The shuttle is a nice way to get downtown and is included in the 25$US resort fee. Parking is not free (around 16$US per day)"

"The breakfast doesn't start until 8, which is pretty late for a hotel breakfast. The food was ok. They no longer offer the free shuttle into town, even though they still advertise that they do. I am not really sure what the "resort" fee was for, since there were almost no included amenities. The room was nice and very clean. It was nice to have an outdoor table and hammock. Another guest was in need of jumper cables and the staff refused to help then locate some. "

"The hotel’s location is its biggest strength—far enough from the noise and crowds of Duval Street, which made for a much more peaceful stay. The property itself is clean overall, and the ocean views from the room (sailboats and catamarans) are truly beautiful. That said, there were some drawbacks. My bathroom had a noticeable sewer smell, and I even saw a sewer fly, which should have been addressed prior to arrival. While staff did respond and attempt to fix it, this shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place. The gym is very small, and pool service was lacking, as attendants were not very attentive. The hotel restaurant was good, and staff were generally responsive when concerns were raised. There is also a shuttle available, but it would be much more convenient if it ran more frequently in the evenings (every 30 minutes rather than hourly), as it gets crowded with guests heading downtown. Overall, the hotel itself is clean, well-located, and has a lot of positives. However, I likely wouldn’t return to Key West—not because of the hotel, but simply because the overall vibe isn’t my scene."
