"What a fun find! We really enjoyed our stay at Elktrace. The ranch was serene. The location is about a 20- minute drive from downtown Pagosa Springs. Once you leave the highway, it’s a relatively short (maybe 1-2 miles) drive down a dirt road and there are several signs to direct you to the property. The additional instructions were also helpful.We stayed in the designer cottage with king bed which was spacious, and well decorated. There was a full kitchen, 1/2 bath with toilet and 1/2 bath with shower. There’s also a thermostat controlled gas fireplace which creates lovely ambiance when the temperatures dip. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Check in was easy to coordinate once I was able to reach the owners. I recommend texting/messaging and calling as cell phone coverage is poor in the area. My only recommendation is that I think it would be helpful to have some cleaning supplies available in the room for tidying up. Overall, a lovely B&B experience we would return to if in Pagosa Springs again. "

"This house is even more lovely than the pictures. And no pictures could do justice to the VIEWS off the back porch, oh my gosh! Almost mesmerizing. Love that we could see the views from the master, the living room, and the kitchen sink (best way to do dishes!). Paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, dishwashing liquid, and laundry soap were all provided, and we were very grateful. The furniture and appliances were high end and beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped! Lots of streaming options and games available. We could tell we were staying in someone’s home that they had taken a lot of care and pride in, so thank you very much to the host! Communication with Maddie was great; she was on top of everything and very responsive (just general communication; we had zero issues while there!). Check out was straightforward and simple, just start the dishwasher. Location was perfect for us … between the town and the ski mountain; we really appreciated not having to drive thru town every morning, especially with the construction in Pagosa Springs. Our family was so comfortable here and enjoyed the home so much. Really cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay! Thank you; we hope to be back! "
