"Quick snowboarding trip, this was an awesome spot. Quiet, cute, had everything we needed. They converted connecting hotel rooms to a sleeping area with separate living room and kitchen. Perfect with kids. Great little bfast in the morning. Limited gluten free options, but they had eggs and oatmeal."
"For the value this is a clean place to stay. The pros are that it was clean, and pet friendly.
The cons: I walked in, and the smell of fabuloso about knocked me over. I had to clean that up with some natural cleaners I had, and air it out for hours on I even be able to breathe.
If you’re sensitive to toxins, just a warning. For such a beautiful place in the mountains, and nature, I would have hoped for a scent free environment free of parabens.
Plug on the tub was broken, so water wouldn’t stay in. Also, the dead bolt had been removed, that kind of freaked me out as a solo traveler.
The property was pretty run down, but it looked like it was for sale, so I guess that’s why there was no staff in the main building.
There is a phone number in case you have questions, but other than that no one on the premises.
There was what looked like an apartment upstairs, and it sounded like someone was nailing art to the walls or remodeling literally until 2-3 am.
I didn’t sleep very well, but again, for the money, if you need a place to crash, and you’re not picky, this will do.
Would have been 5 stars all around with these things fixed.
Maybe next time! "
"The staffwas courteous and efficient. The rooms were comfortable. The hot tub was out of service. Was a bit of a disappointing we were charged a $25 resort fee but had nothing to show for this fee. No instructions on how to operate the tv.."
Hot Tub, Ski Wolf Creek, Fish San Juan River Village
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful time in Pagosa Springs and really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Moose Lodge. It was an excellent setup for our multi-family trip, with two separate living areas and fully equipped kitchens that had everything we needed to cook comfortably. After long days on the slopes, the hot tub was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We also appreciated the beautiful weather, though we did wish there had been more patio furniture to enjoy the outdoor space.A couple of small notes: some of the beds listed as queens are actually full-size, and there was only one towel provided per guest—so we would plan to request extras next time.Overall, we truly loved our stay and would absolutely return!"
Beautiful Riverfront Log Cabin with Mountain Views, Firepit, and Gas Grill
10/10 Excellent
"The lodge was very spacious and inviting. There is a massive view of the mountains and river right outside the back windows. The kitchen was expansive and had 2 tables in close proximity with an open format. We could cook and entertain our kids at the same time. We had 4 adults and 6 kids. There was ample room for all. The drive to Wolf Creek was scenic and quick. And town was only a few minutes away. We would love to come back! "
