Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the Rio Grande. The padded deck furniture made sitting there very comfortable. The Great Room was very comfortable and the huge table for meals and cards was nice. Having a quality washer and dryer was nice. We really appreciated the unique ceiling fans in each bedroom. The negatives to the place are pretty minor—there was a slight odor when you first come into the house through the front door, there were several spider webs on light fixtures and the twin mattresses downstairs were uncomfortable. We definitely enjoyed our first time in South Fork and would stay here again on any return visits"

"The property sits right on the river and even my small grandchildren where able to cast their line (with string and a fake fish already attached) from the deck that sits over the river to "fish". The adults enjoyed actual fishing, playing cards, pool and dominos, the hot tub, and the fully stocked kitchen. It is large enough to accommodate 6 adults and 2 small children with room to spare. Extra's include the trash compactor and the wine cooler. The only things that needed attention was the dishwasher is not connected to the cabinet so every time we opened it fell forward and the spider webs on the wall in the living room and light fixtures.We enjoyed the Alder Ass Races. Wanted to raft the river, but water levels are low, so went to Pagosa Springs for sight seeing and lunch. Traveled up the Rio Grande National Forest were we caught a glimpse of a bear! The host quickly responded to our arrival and departure messages and we did not encounter any real issues- We would definitely stay there again!!!"
