"The place felt old and tired. Rooms are in blocks feeling like a prison. Noisey, blood on spa. Parking atrocious flooded in morning reception not what I expected. Would not recommend."

"Bathroom was not clean, toilet or shower. Heat pump was only blowing cold air. Reception was very unhappy when we arrived and when I complained before check out she looked under pressure and upset as there were other people staying wanting to complain. Her welfare I was concerned about and could very well be an investigation by the council. The lifts had mixed messages on how many people can be in lift and also the weight on 3 stickers were all different. There was no certification ticket any where. The stairs were out of commission so what does one do in a fire???? The Hamilton City council have a lot to explain as does the hotel. No one was available to take our complaints after hours. The VR in the name must stand for Very Rundown. Shocking stay!!!"

"Although the units are not fancy, they are very clean and comfortable. The outdoor space outback is lovely. The location is excellent! Right near everything Raglan has to offer. I would say this is the best option in Raglan."

"Minutes from town and the hot springs, but in a world of its own; uber relaxing, well appointed and star gazing peaceful. Jan the host is amazing; Solomon the wee Irish donkey and all his other four legged friends makes it a one of a kind stay."
