Best Western in Puerto Plata

"We stayed at Blue JackTar Hotel, and surprisingly, it was better than the other two resorts we visited during our trip. The hotel has a great bar and restaurant on-site, and the beachfront location is a huge plus. Being right on the beach made the experience much more enjoyable and relaxing. One unique touch we really liked was the pond with turtles—it was a nice detail and something different to see. Most importantly, the staff was very helpful and attentive, which made a big difference in our overall stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider staying here again."

"I do not recommend this hotel for elderly people or people with walking problems. The hotel has difficult access to the amenities. Going to the restaurant is an adventure, but the food is terrible. I got sick from it, spent the first day, and haven't eaten there again. My wife and I went to eat at a restaurant outside because I was scared to eat again. I am Dominican, and for me, it is hard to give a bad report for a hotel from my home country, but maybe, by reading this review, the administration will take more control and improve the quality of the services. One positive is that the room was clean, and the waitresses were very kind. The beach is amazing, and the pool was clean. The entertainment is not that good. Don't think about snacks,, it's confusing. "

"No elevators, food was mediocre, tasteless, dried and nothing spectacular. Partner got sick with food poisoning. Serving staff don't wear masks or gloves anymore."

"They had a fully equipped Gym, the best part is the Market street with Mokka coffee shop, ice cream . Cons- The rooms would’ve been more cleaner especially the bath tub"

"La estancia fue un infierno, era una discoteca o bar de copas con habitación donde los huéspedes importan entre nada y menos. Les rogamos que bajaran la música en muchísimas ocasiones y se reía de nosotros. La seguridad era nula, muchas cámaras y todo el mundo entraba y salía del “restaurante” por la recepción del hotel, cualquiera podía haber hecho cualquier cosa y en la recepción no había nadie del personal del hotel para velar por la seguridad o derecho al descanso de sus huéspedes. Fue VERGONZOSA la estancia, y como guinda del pastel las habitaciones estaban en pésimo estado"
