"My husband and I just spent 3 nights at Playa Maya. We got to the hotel a little late, but was greeted by Marvin (I believe he's night time security) who helped us to our room. "Great space. Quiet and private yet less than 5 minutes walk to the fun and noise and people restaurant row. Best of both worlds is you need peace and quiet, yet good food and music/entertainment in a small little community. Great pool, spacious bedrooms, full stocked kitchen with even details that many condos don't provide like the cooking oil, drinking water, napkins, paper towels, salt pepper, sugar, candles out on the veranda etc. The little things add up. "Pro's: 1) Staff are VERY friendly 2) Rooms are clean (and recleaned regularly) 3) A block from Walmart 4) Fairly short walk to 5th Ave. (Tourist street) 5) Budget friendly 6) Kitchen area makes it super easy to make a quick breakfast/lunch and eat with family.
