"This property is listed as 'luxury' but is anything but luxury. The hot tub didnt work, there werent enough chairs / plates / bowls, cups were plastic. Communication with the host was awful, hours before she replied and her paypal account didnt work for payment. She made us wait outside the property on arrival and kept 40 from our security deposit due to the faulty hot tub. This was a no stars break and if you are thinking about booking, I would think again."

The Alverton is the perfect place to stay for exploring Cornwall and surrounds or for a peaceful get away. The hotel and grounds are lovely - our room was spacious with a sitting area in front of a large window overlooking to courtyard.
The restaurant had a great ambience and food was delicious and well presented; relatively small range of choices but fresh and interesting; breakfast was plentiful and al a carte for hot food definitely an advantage. Availability of fresh Sandwiches in the bar...

This is the place to stay if you want the perfect b&b in Truro. June, the owner, was a very friendly lady and gave us all the information we needed about Truro. It is a 10 minute walk to the town centre. We had the 4 poster bed room which was very comfortable and spacious. We had the best sleep of our 5-week holiday here. After big cities, it was fantastic to stop and enjoy the small village of Portloe. The hotel to excellent and the staff and food outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and our whole experience was the best we enjoyed after four weeks in the UK.

Well located close to bus stop for short trip into city centre. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had all we needed. There was plenty of room to bring in our suitcases rather than just an overnight bag. Staff were friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Having a restaurant right there was so convenient at end of a long day. Parking was convenient and everything on one level. Breakfast was a good selection of the usual fare. Would recommend this property.

We landed in the UK after a long trip from Australia, got a car and drove to this gem. Hannah was amazing, she greeted us with a warm welcome and was very hospitable, we felt very comfortable here, it was quiet and relaxing, the grounds were amazing and the breakfast was incredible… Thanks Andy, you make an amazing omelette:) Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area and would definitely stay again.
