"Great stay, walkable area. Free parking, Comp tickets to Japanese Gardens. It was definitely worth it. Cons, no breakfast, but they do have coffee in lobby. No housekeeping was also a bit disappointing. I don’t expect cleaning everyday but every other day. Unfortunately in day three we walked in to our room not serviced and no towels to shower after a long day out. Monday July 13 the lobby was unattended for too long. I was there at 6:30am and left at 7:13am and no one was there. Seems unreasonable amount of time to leave desk alone. The evening Clerk, Gael I believe is his name was so busy but he is so polite. Great service. I wish I could steal him to come work for me in California."

"The staff at the Courtyard really go above and beyond. There's always someone present at the door and the desk to help you with anything you need. I was visiting with my daughter on a long college visit, and they were able to get me in the room extra early and gave me late checkout to work with our schedule at PNWCA. The room was comfy, beds, nice, and good walking access to downtown. Super establishment!"

"Booked a room for an overnight before heading to the coast. We had a wonderful meal at the lobby restaurant and the gentleman who served us was so accommodating ! Room was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the Starbucks in room coffee. We had a few hours to kill in Portland and the staff graciously allowed us to store our luggage in a secure spot. I would certainly book another stay at the Benson. Location was perfect and allowed us to walk to the rail to access our next destination as well as return to the Airport."
