The Motel was really clean with recently updated modern rooms. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming and the room was great value for money.

Excellent position right in town. Restaurants, pubs, supermarket, and the beach are all within a 5 minute walking distance radius. The managers were excellent, giving us advice on where to eat, as well as lending us some toys to keep our 18 month year old happy!

Value: Not cheap but worth it ;

It was a great time also our engagement almost got spilt due to the older lady at the front desk when we checked in. Lucky my parents wasn’t listening to what she said… Overall we loved thala and will be back. Thanks for the great experience!

My partner and I stayed here for three days, two nights. We arrived at 9am on our first day and was shown immediately to our room, which was an unexpected surprise given that the checkin time was 2pm. The Reception staff made us very welcome from the start, offering some helpful hints for our stay and organising transfers, and even a complimentary late checkout. The room, a one bedroom suite, was enormous, large bedroom, two bathrooms, full size kitchen, large lounge/dining room and balcony...

A nice quiet haven to unwind and relax. Well maintained property, great pool and staff were really hospitable and helpful. Can't wait to go back next year.

We were very impressed with this hotel. Lovely welcoming staff make a trip so much more enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, and plenty of room for your own food. TV has a few austar channels and there is a DVD player for which you can borrow dvds from the kiosk for free. Pool area and bbq were very clean. It's perfect for kids and we all had a great weekend. You can let the kids go and feel safe as to their whereabouts. Rooms were clean and well presented and the staff were a great help. Between the two pools, waterslide, water play park, large play ground, two jumping pillows, mini golf and the weekend movies on the big screen they were rather busy.

You know how you're often disappointed after arriving at a venue that you've booked online? This is NOT one of those venues! What a spectacular location. Very well located on the main street between the inlet and the beach. Generous size rooms and an outside balcony overlooking some greenery. Laundry facilities are not in the room but they are free and accessible. The car park is very tight and would not suit a large car but overall a great place to stay in Port Douglas, and reception staff we’re very friendly

The room was comfortable and the hotel is close to the supermarket and not far from the centre of the town but still relatively quiet.
