Hampton Inn Vallejo

"Great hotel to stay in when visiting the area. The price per night was very fair. The pool, hot tub, breakfast, room and room amenities were excellent. Whenever there was an issue, staff were very quick to fix. Our smoke alarm battery went into low battery mode in the middle of the night and they had someone replace the battery in under 5 min. When the hot tub wasn’t well heated one day, a maintenance man came to troubleshoot it and got it heated back up quickly. The fact they are so on top of keeping their guests comfortable will have us staying here again the next time we are in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!"

"I initially reserved this hotel because of the location and included breakfast. There were three of us staying in a Double Queen room. Though there are photos, already online, we were pleasantly surprised with how large the room is, along with the kitchen amenities and additional television. With the pocket door separating the kitchen/living room area from the beds, it is essentially a suite - which is very helpful when people have different sleep schedules! The rooftop restaurant is nice, especially with the view of the bay. Having the breakfast included is another nice convenience, despite having so many nice places nearby for food and drinks. The people taking care of the breakfast are prompt with removing your plates, etc. There is ample dining area in the lobby for breakfast, as well. There are ample breakfast choices to suit everyone's diet. You really cannot beat this location. Besides being extremely close to UC Berkeley, there's many interesting neighborhoods you can walk to (eg. Gourmet Ghetto). It's easy to walk to the hotel from the Downtown Berkeley Bart Station. If you do not want the valet parking, you can park overnight at the North Berkeley Bart station, which is a two minute ride to the Downtown Berkeley Bart Station (ie. the hotel). There are numerous buses along nearby Shattuck Ave, as well (essentially, adjacent to the Downtown Berkeley Bart station) All of the staff were very nice and welcoming. We had a very pleasant stay and will definitely return!"
