The staff are very polite and pleasant. The refrigerator and microwave were in good condition and very helpful, as was the heating/air conditioning unit in the room. The water was hot for showering, and it was reasonably quiet. I would have given 5 stars for everything except some of the fixtures (sink and tub) are quite worn. The location is near Safeway and Harbor Freight. The 72 bus can be caught a very short distance from the hotel--this is a fast, frequent bus that is extremely convenient for quick trips to other East Bay cities. I stayed 4 nights and would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a budget, not-too-fancy place.

Besides a shower mat that looks like it has been through some things it was a pleasant experience. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, the working was sufficient and felt my car was safe as we explored Richmond. I would definitely come back here.

Safety, quiet, hotel staff were very accommodating. My son and I have traveled through various cities from Sacramento, South San Francisco, Seaside, Belmont, and here in Richmond while exploring different areas as we are moving to California. Of all the budget hotel options, Terrace Inn & Suites was the best place compared in the similar price bracket.

Check‑in was quick and easy. There was plenty of parking available. The room was tidy and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a mild smell of cigarette and alcohol, but it wasn’t overwhelming. The whole place was quiet — perfect for relaxing after a long day of traveling. Highly recommend!

I used to frequent this place about 20-30 years back, but it's been a while since my return. Regarding my current stay, the rooms were very clean considering the outdated furniture and decor. The tub is super tiny, almost made for children, but it was still cleaned thoroughly. Aside from the wonky Internet connection and a few loud guests on the 4th of July, my stay was pretty good. Also, the beds were very firm and comfy and so were the pillows. I just wish the phone worked in my room to be able to call the front desk and wished they offered continental breakfast, but overall, I'd definitely stay here again!

Terrace Inn and Suites is awesome! The staff is amazing. The area is safe. There are restaurants and shopping super close. Wether you need a night or a longer stay, Terrace Inn and Suites is a budget friendly option. I stayed a few weeks and got to kinda know the room attendants and they were all the most friendly and sweet people! Totally helpful and always kind. As a side note, Terrace Inn and Suites has the softest towels ever! I highly recommend them and if needed, I would be back in a heartbeat!
