The place is okay, nothing fancy for the price, just a place to sleep overnight! Plenty of parking, washroom is clean, tv, microwave and a fridge! Internet a bit slow, 4 stars for the value but don’t expect anything more. You get for what you pay, good enough for me
The room was spacious. House keeping came in every day and left clean linen and emptied the trash. The manager was very kind. The stay was peaceful and quite a lovely location in El Cerrito. Thank you Terrace Inn. Also San Pablo Ave has so many restaurants and Walgreens as well.
Room was fairly nice and decent size for the rate I paid. The tv had free wifi hookup so you could watch netflix (have to use your own acct#). There were basic amenities like fridge and microwave. The rooms decor was pretty outdated. I could here stomping above me in the middle of the night. The bed mattress was very lumpy, which led to lower back pains.
Recognizing the lower price for this hotel, I was not disappointed with the quality of the room, or their customer service. I read really poor reviews on similarly-lower-priced hotels in the area - and was happy this hotel provided a safe and better stay.
The customer service of the front desk was exceptional. I was a little concern at first due to my last visit in san francisco but I can honestly say this Hotel is great for the price and the area was calm and looked safe didn't have any issues what so ever. Made me feel welcome definitely enjoyed my stay this time around!

Stayed two times in one week. Clean, easy to get to and lots of places to eat and shop on San Pablo. For the price point this place is one of the better places. Perfect for the night. Area seemed safe, parking was easy and front desk staff friendly. Will be staying again as we come to the city for Dr appointments.
I decided to stay hear because close to the event I attended and the restaurants were just few minutes walking from the hotel for dinner and breakfast.
Great location, near restaurants, small businesses, freeway, but it is a bit dated, with adequate facilities which have seen better days. A good value on a budget. Competative parking.

The staff is greaf the only problem i had it was noisy and I couldn't get good sleep. I stayed there for work.
We arrived quite late to our check in time but the staff was very nice and still helped us out . There was a Slight smell of cigarette smoke in the room but that went away as we had the windows open. Overall a good place to stay for the price.
This team of staff and family gets it. Home away from home. Makes staying out while traveling a breeze. Comfort and trust feels better than plush while flush. It takes a village. Welcome to Terrace Inn’s
I was pleasantly surprised by this modest motel. I was traveling on a budget and not expecting much. But the place was clean, safe, and friendly. My room had a view of the Berkeley Hills, and there is a wonderful natural grocer within walking distance. This place is an excellent option for basic affordable lodging.
We chose the hotel because it had a 3-star Expedia rating. We were disappointed and would not give it more than 2 stars.
Overall, the room was clean, and bed was clean and comfortable. However, it had stained curtains, and rail seemed to be Brocken. peeling paint in bathroom, some dents on the wall, rough patches, cracked, dirty bathroom door, no shampoo, cheap hand and body bar of soap and worn sink and bathtub.
The room was clean and inexpensive. No coffee however. I had to go to Peet's. Peet's was ok.

Must have been the worst room they had... I hope.
It was quiet and the location was good. The bed was comfortable. My room was in bad shape, the sink very damaged, the TV screen full of fuzzy lines, couldn't switch from bathtub to shower, often not enough hot water to fill the tub. The pillows so lumpy and thick that I had to buy a pillow, and blanket too thin to turn the heat off at night. No shampoo, no cup to heat water in microwave.... Other than that.
Rooms directly above the laundry/water heaters were horribly loud. I was debated asking for a chargeback and leaving the hotel. I stayed for a week so I would have appreciated a better room from the start. Management did not swap me out to a top floor room until I asked for the second day in a row. No breakfast, no shampoo, floors squeaky, beds not very comfortable. Good location close to BART and bus stops. Won't stay here again
Really, for a motel this cheap, what you want is clean sheets and no bed bugs. And this room and clean sheets and no bed bugs. So to that end I think it's probably worth the price.
That said, the carpet was extremely gross and left a horrific musty smell on any skin or cloth that touched it. So, they could probably stand to vacuum more. Like, a lot more. I asked them to vacuum the room and noticed little things on the floor which indicated that they definitely didn't. But, again, it's pretty cheap, so maybe just bring slippers?
Footsteps above were pretty loud too.
