Pooler is a sweet little city. I have stayed at other places in the area and all was good. There are plenty of stores and restaurants. It is close to the airport and not far from Savannah.

I go there every year to Race at Robeling Road Raceway and have yet to have any problems. You will find there some of the friendly people anywhere.

We always stay in POOLER as our half way point between Florida and VA. Love the easy access off I 95, with plenty of restaurants, shops etc

Small enough to have a "close-knit" feel, while having access to most any retail or restaurant within minutes.

Has really grown over the years. So much to do, go and see. Roads cannot handle traffic. Light timing needs adjustment or something to handle volume of traffic. Area was very clean

It's convenient for our purposes, but the traffic and the traffic lights are horrific! It took us about 1/2 hour to get from the ramp off 95 to our hotel because of all the lights- and that was maybe a mile away?

"The property was beautiful and everyone of the staff that we encountered were so nice and helpful. It was close to the things that we wanted to do. The food was great as was the service.
The only thing I did not like is that our first night there we were having a drink at the bar. It was fairly early in the evening so they were not overly busy. The lady bartender was very nice and efficient. Then someone that I assume was in management went behind the bar and started telling her that she had better do a better job of checking to be sure of the room number of people charging to their room or in the future she would be paying the charges out of her pocket. This may have been something that needed to be said to the the woman but doing it in front of customers was VERY tacky. No class

"The room was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is walkable, felt safe, has lots of touristy shops and a variety of good restaurants.
There is a nice manager’s reception each afternoon with beverages, snacks and charcuterie.
Valet parking is convenient but pricey ($50/day).
I’d recommend River Street Inn to friends and family if they visit Savannah. "
"The hotel was very conveniently located - close to shopping and restaurants. Rooms were very clean and staff was pleasant.
Our only complaint would be the intense aroma in the lobby and restaurant area. I know most people might like this but we felt it was to overpowering. We did not eat in the restaurant or stay in the lobby for long because it was making my daughter cough every time we were in that area. It was especially strong in the hallway on the way to our room on the first floor. We did visit the bar twice but just briefly as we could almost taste the aroma in our drinks.
Only suggestion is non skid bath mat for the shower as I found it slippery.
I still would rate this hotel a 5 since everything else was up to par.
