Great location near shopping and restaurants. Roof top pool was fun and good pool bar. We arrived Friday where they had a roof top party from 8pm-1am which we didn’t go since we were exhausted but noise wasn’t bothering us. Only stayed for 1 night and it was a great experience.

Quiet but close two blocks from 38th street, nicest street in all of Playa. Great friendly service. Very large and comfortable apartment. Looks like photos. Seven minute walk to beach.

I've stayed at this wonderful hotel a few times now, and it never disappoints. The front desk staff is always amazing and incredibly helpful. The suites are clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited to our needs. One of the highlights is the rooftop pool—it’s absolutely lovely and offers stunning views of the city, including a partial view of the ocean. The location is also perfect—just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by fantastic restaurants and shops, only a block away from 5th Avenue. Highly recommended!

Excellent place

Second time selecting this Hotel. It is located in the area we enjoy the most in Playa del Carmen. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. We enjoy the swimming pool and the dancing event one of the evenings. We will definitely look forward to our next visit in Serenity.

We really enjoyed our stay here! We live in Tulum and we came for the night to enjoy the festivities for Dia de los Muertos. Really enjoyed the great design throughout the property. Andddd they're pet-friendly! Definitely the best pet-friendly hotel we have ever stayed at! We stayed in the suite room and it was so functional and spacious. I highly recommend.

peaceful mid-range hotel

great location to get to know playa del carmen - very close to local places to eat and beach area that is not dominated by the big seafront party hotels. it’s about 1 mile from the bus station. service is great from most staff, just avoid the bar at the rooftop pool. the comp breakfast was lovely, just be sure to ask for all the options before ordering. pancakes, eggs, frijoles, orange juice were our faves!

The room was clean but shabby chic. There were buttons missing on the chairs and sofa. The sheets were itchy the 1st night and I had them change the whole bedding. After that, the bed was fine. Service was exceptional. The food in the restaurant was better than the burger restaurant on 5th street.

I liked that the property was somewhat away from the noisy tourist areas but close enough to easily walk to the tourist areas when we wanted to. The beach was a short walk away as were several restaurants. A grocery store was a short walk (two blocks) away also. The room was very nice. The only drawback was that soundproofing between rooms was non existent. Our neighbours were quiet for the most part thank goodness but there were occasions when things got too noisy and patience was required.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful from the moment I arrived. The room was not clean—there were visible stains on the furniture, and it looked like it hadn’t been properly sanitized. Housekeeping never came to clean the room during my stay, and when I asked for extra towels, I was given a hard time as if it were a huge inconvenience. To make matters worse, they charged me extra at check-in even though I had already paid for my entire stay in advance. The parking garage was a nightmare—small, poorly lit, and difficult to navigate. On top of that, there was loud music playing all night, making it impossible to get any rest. This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid this place at all costs!
