A great small hotel tucked away (for the most part) from the big all inclusive resorts. You do have a secrets next door, but after that its empty beach. The beach in front of the hotel feels quiet and we often sat on beach couches with no on e around us. Our room with private pool was great and perfect for our first vacation with a 5 month old. The food in the restaurant was great and the staff would always go above and beyond to make sure the trip was as easy as possible for us
Wonderful , small hotel with excellent beachfront. The staff, the restaurant and the property are amazing. You feel like part of their family as the staff/ guest ratio is high. Will return here soon.
This is more than a place to stay, this is a home! The villas are huge with at least two bedrooms and two baths. It also includes a private pool. The jungle villa is a ways away from the beach and you need to drive everyday, but much more private. You can walk it, but itās hot. They upgraded us to an ocean villa after a couple days due to no WiFi in the jungle. We have a family of 5 and felt like royalty. Staff was so friendly, free breakfast in the morning was made to order and the most delicious Iāve ever tasted.
The property is right on the beach so you can sleep with your door is open. We felt completely safe and slept to the sound of the ocean every night. The staff is wonderful and only seeks to please you. It was a delightful calm peaceful experience. The restaurant is fantastic and the tables are set out on the lawn just feet from the sand. It was really marvelous
Beautiful boutique property directly on Maroma Beach. If you like peace and quiet, with beautiful views, you will love this hotel as much as we did. It was our second time there and it was every bit as lovely the second time around. The staff go out of their way to make your stay a great one, and the rooms are huge and beautifully decorated.
What a fantastic place! The staff, rooms, and amenities could not have been nicer, and despite the massive seaweed bloom (affecting everywhere from Mexico to Florida in July 2019), the beach was lovely. Cannot recommend the food and the massage highly enough, both were world class. We will certainly be back :)
The Kin Sol is a wonderful place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering visiting the Yucatan area. It is located conveniently to many tourist attractions, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and many other great places we enjoyed during our trip. The Kin Sol has the best service of any place I have ever stayed. The reception will help you to take care of anything you need during your stay, housekeeping is very thorough, security is impeccable, and the staff at their onsite dining, Pavo Real, is 5 star. The complementary breakfast doesnāt compare to any I have ever had before. With a selection of fresh baked bread, many breakfast dishes to choose from, fresh fruit waters, I was so happy to wake up each morning and go to breakfast. The waitstaff are amazing and not only took the time to give us excellent service, but also accommodated my familyās picky eating. The beach is cleaned daily to remove any of the algae that is washing up, the grounds of the resort are well maintained and blend the natural jungle of the area right up to your door. Everyone is friendly and courteous. They made us feel welcome and gave us the VIP treatment. We were given a room upgrade during our stay, due to us visiting in June which is typically a slower time for tourism. Our room was so close to the beach you could lay in bed and hear the waves. The rooms are well decorated and spacious. We definitely plan on visiting again!
We had an AMAZING honeymoon here, the location is beautiful and the staff are incredibly accommodating and sweet. Beautiful, quiet place, a much more intimate, authentic, boutique vacation experience, not something you would get at a giant resort. The resort's restaurant, Pavo Real, has excellent, sophisticated yet comforting, food, and even better service. Would 100% come back to this gorgeous place!
We had a wonderful time at Kin Sol Soleil. The best thing about the hotel is its hospitality. The atmosphere is also unique, being that the architecture and decor match perfectly with the natural beauty of Maroma Beach! The hotel is beautiful, its gardens, the beach, the suites are stunning. It was exactly what we were looking for: natural and quiet beauty plus the charm and personality of its architecture, in addition to the exelent and discreet service! We felt like we were at home. We stayed at Mariposa's suite - beach front with stunning views and privacy! The food at Pavo Real restaurant was delicious and surprisingly eclectic. Everything was fresh and tasty! The staff will go beyond to help and make you feel comfortable. We will definitely go back!
Wow- the Owner Michelle and her employees have achieved hospitality perfection! Jorge the chef is a true master of the kitchen. I have never in my life enjoyed a stay more, it felt like a true home away from home.
Michelleās graciousness and kindness were well beyond expectations. We loved the shrimp salad so much we were even able to have a cooking class with the chef to teach us how his magic was done! Beyond words we loved this hidden gem!
This was an amazing place to stay. It was just my husband and I. We took three nights to ourselves and flew down to Cancun. The hotel arranged for a shuttle and seamless transport to and from the hotel. Within 1 hour of landing, we were in our bathing suites, enjoying a beer on the beach. The hotel staff greets you with a beer when you check in if you desire. Our room, Angela 2 was spacious and beautiful. The view on the top balcony and the porch with a hammock and chairs were stunning. We sat and read, talked, napped, listened to the waves, enjoyed the soaking tub outside on the upper level. We walked the beach every day for hours and enjoyed the water. We ate all of our meals at Pavo Real by the Sea and couldn't get enough. The guac and their drink selection is to die for. We had a mini fridge in the room, and were given 4 complimentary beers each day, along with water and sodas. Fresh fruit was also in the room, with a great toiletry kit in case you forgot anything at home- they had it all! Chocolates were brought to our room each night. The service and hospitality here was like nothing I have ever seen. They staff are truly kind and caring people that just want to make sure you enjoy yourself. Also, if you have a chance, I highly recommend a massage. It is outside in a room on a top deck. You are outside with the breeze blowing and the sound of the waves in the background. If you can't relax here, then you can't relax anywhere!
The hotel was beautiful. Very intimate atmosphere, lush scenery with rooms right on the beach. It is the best of everything, clean white sand, pool, airconditioning & incredible food.
Booked this without knowing anything about the resort, only that it was reasonably close to the Cancun airport. We had been staying in Mahahual and wanted to spend the last night closer to the airport. We were so surprised to find out the quality of the place, and at a very reasonable price. We wished we could have spend several more days at this little resort, and we probably will in the future. Only downside is it is tough to find. But, ask enough people and youāll get there :) food was insanely good, and oh, we had our own private pool in the jungle! So cool! would definitely recommend!
The property, staff & beach are all amazing!
The service they provided was excellent the staff are genuinely helpful and goes out of their way to provide you with anything you need & want.
The restautant staff and food are superb, we had breakfast there everyday and dinner on our first and last night at the hotel, the food is always fresh and good.
The desk staff are also very helpful they arranged all our trips & excursions & gives good recommendations where to go.
I booked this hotel based on the glowing reviews, traveling with kids and not wanting to be in big hotels with a bunch of people, sharing the pools and all, this place is very exclusive most days we had the beach all to ourselves!
Maybe you'll pay a bit more than all other hotels around but its surely worth it.
Thank you to the staff for our amazing stay.
My wife and I loved our 5 night stay at KiSS. We actually liked it better than the Banyan Tree because your room opens right out onto the ocean. And, Maroma is the best piece of Beach we've found in Mexico. It is such a small hotel, you get the feeling that you have the place to yourself. Plus, they had more dedicated service staff than they had guests! All drinks and food were very good, and considering the prices, a superb value. We ate all but two meals at the hotel's restaurant, Pavo Real, and it almost never felt repetitive. We rented a car, and used it to go into Playa del Carmen twice. It was convenient, but we will likely take a taxi next time. The hotel staff noticed we had a flat, notified us, and volunteered to change the tire for us! Their focus is on you as the guest, and trying to keep your worries away. Every single employee was friendly and attentive.
From the moment we arrived at check in it was off putting. The lady with the glasses ignored us and when my husband said."Excuse me, " she said sorry I didn't notice you came in to give an excuse for not acknowledging us. We seemed an intrusion. The welcome drink is just a beer and she offered it almost like she was hoping I would decline. We were 3, 2 adults and our 6 year old and we had to share a double sized bed. Our bedspread had a red stain on it like a large drop of blood had dried there. This thing had most certainly not been laundered. Very disgusting. The worst of it was the guy at check out completely ignored me while on the phone and I literally stood there for 10 minutes while another lady tried to occupy me with small talk. I mentioned several times we were on a tight schedule and needed to finish packing and get to the airport. He didn't care and was so careless and rude. Because of this slow, careless service, we did not make our flight. My husband couldn't understand why after 15 minutes I was still not back. We were but 5 minutes late checking in for our flight nd they gave up our seats. All our son wanted was to be home for Christmas Eve. Well because of this it cost us so much. Instead of our 12:35pm we had to take a 8:40pm flight and get home at nearly 1am in NJ. Since we had so much time at the airport we had to rent a car again, a big expense and we never were able to find a place with a decent Christmas tree.
This is a great small hotel with about 15 rooms. The restaurant in the premise is great. The location is a bit remote which is a big plus to escape all the tourist crowds.
The hotel is small, beautiful, elegant, private, quiet, and yet cozy. It is located right on the beautiful Maroma beach and surrounded by huge all-inclusive resorts. This hotel is very special. It looks as a small collection of white villas, and its architecture is as far from a big commercial resort as it could be. We had a very big, tastefully furnished room with two closets, two sinks, and a big balcony overlooking the sea. The wonderful restaurant is also right on the beach, the breakfast is great. On top of its beach location and amazing rooms, the hotel is very well managed. I never encountered so caring and professional staff in any other hotel. From the first welcome by Kate, and all through our stay we felt surrounded by warm and friendly people who cared. Thanks to Yan, Michelle, Miguel, Michael, and many others, we had a great vacation!
