Really clean, a nice pool and well appointed room. The water pressure in the shower is disappointing though and it is also not fun paying 30 USD a day for car parking, when most people visiting are on road trips and there is a massive car park, so no need to charge people this much. The facilities fee of $10 a day is also silly - you can’t opt out of using the wifi, pool and gym and avoid paying, so why not just build this into your daily rate?

Room was spacious and smelt clean. It was very warm in Carmel and we were wondering if we had children the other bedroom had no fans and it was stinking hot in that bedroom and in the bathroom. The air-conditioning didn't reach that room.

This quaint town has so much character and so has the wayside inn. The staff are wonderful. The location is perfect. Our stay, well I wish it could have been longer. My only issue was the occupants above who were very loud. The property is old, so too the floor boards and running and jumping is not cool!......so a room on the top level is the way to go. Having said that the hotel imposes a after 10pm quite policy.
