"Be wary when booking here. The pictures are deceiving. Structrually, it’s the same. However the building is run down, dirty and in an overall poor condition. My room had a broken door latch so we could not shut the bathroom door. I felt so uncomfortable and the entire room smelled like cigarettes, mind you it’s a non smoking room. Staff was short and not welcoming. "

"Dirty, coffee pot was disgusting, big window in front did not have a lock, and then when they fix the lock, I opened it partially, and then could not close it again, there is no microwave in the room. The room was spacious, but really needed some work. The reef bar annd restaurant and Sanchos restaurant that was sort of attached to the pool were great. But the hotel really needs some tender, loving care."

"Heres the thing...we love The Saguaro for the vibes but the property could definitely use a fresh coat of paint. And the carpet in the rooms needs some serious love. Ive always felt like The Saguaro just doesn't care much about anything but the pool area. My daughter and I had an ok stay but lots of issues about housekeeping, clogged plumbing in our room etc. We addressed the issued with management but being 100% transparent they didn’t even get back to us until after we left the property. Management communicated that they were short staffed and that contributes to some of the issues but knowing that it was Spring Break time I dont fully understand how they weren't prepared. In a nutshell we enjoyed our stay because my daughter and I make sure we have a good time everywhere we go but I really hope they step up their game. The complimentary bicycles were great the restaurant is delicious and pool vibes are vibing but truth be told they absolutely must step their game up."

"Carpet in room was discolored and old. Very few amenities in room. Pool okay but saw person in there with dog and liquor. Bed and sheets were good."

"I planned a getaway with my dad during a low-season Thursday–Friday, specifically choosing a time when the hotel would not be busy. Despite this, the experience was very disappointing. Months in advance, I requested 2 ground-floor rooms next to each other due to my father being elderly and having difficulty with stairs. I was assured this would be arranged. Upon arrival, we were told our rooms were on the second floor, & there are no elevators on the property for customer use. Given that the hotel was not full, this felt entirely avoidable. The front desk acknowledged part of my request but claimed there was no record of the ground-floor requirement, despite my clear communication. We were also informed at check-in that water would be shut off from 11 PM to 6 AM, which had not been disclosed beforehand. This was especially frustrating given a previous stay where gfs & I encountered a room with a strong odor (due to water tank issues) and were moved to a second room that was not clean. We were told this would be noted and that future visits would be handled with extra care. I mentioned this again when booking, but no effort was made to improve our experience. What should have been a smooth, relaxing stay became unnecessarily stressful, especially for my father. I cannot recommend this hotel based on these experiences."

"Justin at the front desk was amazing! Check in was easy. The room was clean. Except at the back of the bathroom door the hook was not properly installed. We were given buffet coupons and the breakfast was excellent! Quality food for sure. We didn't use the pool as we were at a day spa all day somewhere else."

"The reception staff was friendly and quick. The room was clean and the property was convenient for walking. "

"The good: truly gorgeous, vibey design that holds true to the original character; comfy beds; spacious room (we were in an oasis king); restaurant and poolside bar onsite. Great landscaping in the pool area. Drinks were good. The could-be-better: need more lounge chairs - better use of poolside area; paper thin walls meant every word by our loud neighbors was as clear as if they were standing in our room; no follow through on customer service calls as they outsource to a message service that promises resolution but no action is taken. Location is decent - across from Moorten’s Botanical Garden, Mr Lyon’s (and Seymour’s Bar). 12/10 recommend both! The door adjoining our room to the one next to it was unlocked, and no way to lock from our room, posing a security issue. Called twice was assured that it was being forwarded for resolution but no one ever contacted me back. "

"We made reservations at Ace because they advertise that they have an all adult pool area on the weekends, Fri-Sunday. In fact, it is stated in the pool area. The jacuzzi was over run with kids and the pool at 9pm Sunday evening. We had spent most of our day hiking, so we were looking forward to adult libation, music and no children. Very disappointing. We had no hot water in our room Monday morning, so cold showers for all and my daughter cut her foot on broken glass on our patio. To say our stay was disappointing is an understatement. I have stayed in much nicer resorts for the same price. Don’t waste your money. The one plus, beds were extremely comfortable, the reason why I didn’t give a poor rating in all areas."
