Ryokan Beniayu

4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (27)
"Very nice view of the lake. Very helpful staff. The rooms have a private onsen
hot tub
on the balcony. The rooms have tatami and are set up to sleep on the floor. You can request a bed frame to elevate the futon, but it's better to request a bed when making the reservation (although you may enjoy sleeping on a futon, Japanese style)."

Ryokan Nenrinbo

3.5 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (102)
"The dinner and breakfast I purchased were generally good, but some ingredients such as the fruits and sashimi were dry and stale, as if they had been refrigerated for a substaintial amount of time before serving. The ammenities are nice, and the hot bath was
relaxing

Yumotokan

3.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (679)
"I loved the various onsen you could try out (especially the outdoor ones)! I also opted to have my own wooden tub that dispensed hot spring water—that was really nice too. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the kaiseki dinner was great to try. I highly recommend this place if you want to have an onsen day!"

Biwako Ryokusuitei

3.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (466)
"I love that that I had my own private onsen bathtub in my room. I was able to see the sunrise from this bathtub, which was such a cool experience. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast buffet was so good here! The seafood is really fresh, and the Omi beef shabu shabu was the best part. The public baths on the property are nice too, and I really like the library area where you can get free drinks and popsicles. (There’s a gorgeous view of cherry blossoms on the veranda in the library, so be sure to...

Ryokufuso

3.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (360)
"It was an experience I enjoyed, but I can't say I got the best sleep on the tatamis. The floor layout was inconvenient, how from the toilet you had to walk across the whole room to then wash your hands. The room was extremely tidy and i loved the seating overlooking the window. The public bathhouse, in the hotel, was amazing and while I'm not eager to sleep on the floor again, I'm forever going to be on the lookout for sentos and onsens."

"10/10 clean, modern Japanese interiors. The Japanese family room was amazing. Location is perfection: near everything but still quiet. Clean and large and great layout for family of 4. The
spa
was a nice bonus!"
