Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Public bath was clean and had instructions in English. Staff also helped us with luggage transfer while our dinner and breakfast were exceptional.
Great stay. The owners were very nice and accommodating. They remember me each time I came back to my room.Toom was clean and organized. Onsen was amazing and very clean.
Genuinely such an amazing stay! The staff was super welcoming and kind! And the onsen is a must-go-to! Truly had the best time and service for my stay!
Amazing onsen and staff! The only thing different I would do for next time is not pay for breakfast and eat out since breakfast is only served until 8:30am. Other than that amazing!
I greatly appreciated the experience of sleeping in a ryokan this nice. That said, I’m glad I booked only a single night as I didn’t sleep well on the futon mattress on the floor. The rooms and property are gorgeous and immaculately maintained.
Amazing and attentive staff. Great Japanese breakfast that changes the food varieties every day. Quiet onsen area and I was a single person all three times I did it.
I loved our stay here, the bathhouse is so nice after a long day of walking. The staff were helpful and welcoming. We had dinner here one night and it was one of the best meals we had on our trip.
I can honestly say this was the nicest place I have stayed in my entire trip in Japan. The place was immaculate and I would definitely stay here again. Also plus for the friendly staff and good recommendations for local places to go for coffee etc.
The room was beautiful Japanese style tatami mats to sleep. We had our own onset style wooden bath tub. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was our favourite hotel during our two week Japanese adventure.

Excellent & helpful service from reception staff. And giving us a very early checkin time too.
I stayed for 2 nights and loved every moment at the hotel. Every staff member I met were so incredibly nice and welcoming and even gave me an umbrella when I checked out as it was raining which I wasn't expecting at all (thank you for the gentleman that gave it to me on check out, saved me from getting wet going to the store to buy one!) The room was so nice and it really felt like I was staying in a traditional inn. Thank you to everyone for making my stay so comfortable. Worth every penny.
We loved staying here! The suite was beautiful, the service was brilliant and the breakfast delicious. We only wish they could have accommodated us for dinner.
We also highly recommend trying the bath house upstairs. Absolutely loved it here !
Such a nice traditional Japanese in meals included breakfast and dinner. Staff were outstanding and taking care and answering my questions. Will stay there again on since we’re excellent. several onset were excellent.
Great experience. Spacious room. Wonderful and friendly staff. Excellent dinner. Easy to get to from train station, but it’s not a convenient location to access most tourist sites in Kyoto.
Absolutely beautiful room, onsen, and the meals were amazing. Highly recommend spending a night here. Staff was very nice and patient. Might be difficult for kids, but is a very romantic and well-thought getaway from the busy downtown.
