"I can’t fault this hotel for the location - it’s the reason we have stayed here twice this year. But honestly, the whole hotel needs ripping out and starting again to bring it up to date. There are limited plugs in all rooms. None of them have any plugs near the bed. There are NO USB sockets anywhere. There is no aircon, and the air cooling system fails when it gets too hot. The showers are weak and badly positioned. There is (poor quality) handwash in the bathrooms, but no complimentary toiletries or basic vanity kits. There are, however, plenty of towels in each room and of a good size. The beds are comfortable. If you want to blow dry your hair, you can only see yourself in the dressing mirror if you’re over 6ft tall. The hotel is currently refurbing the lobby reception area, and the noise of works throughout the day is hugely disruptive in rooms, even 3 floors above. If you’re jet lagged or wanting a lie in, sleep is the last thing you’ll get. I also have security concerns as anyone can enter the hotel lifts and access any floor of the hotel, no room keys are required to operate them."

"The room was clean and as expected, quite small since it is a hub. The staff was very kind and helpful. My problem was that because the room was so small and humid as well as having no window that would open, the air conditioning unit kept the room too moist. Water from the bottom of the AC unit dripped continuously. I had to keep the trash bin and cups underneath it to catch the water that poured out...the cups overflowed during the night. It was a very hot couple of days in London so full-on AC was necessary. Everything, including me, stayed damp the whole time. I don't think this was a problem specific to my room but a design flaw for these small, closed-up rooms with individual heating/cooling units. Breakfast was a basic continental style. Location is pretty good to conveniently reach Liverpool Street Station."

"Conveniently located at the junction of Brick Lane, Shoreditch, Whitechapel. A short walk from Spitalfields Market (restaurants, Poli & Jo bags!, etc.). It's a totally eclectic neighborhood, multicultural, artsy, etc. Only a few tube stops away from everything. The hotel itself has been nicely renovated and maintained. Rooms are comfy and ultra quiet with good AC/heating controls and dependable WIFI. Shower is OK, water pressure so so, but soft top quality towels make my day. Housekeeping is spot on. Breakfast: extremely loud buffet... and we found the food to be awful. It's industrial prepared food too salty, or just not good. Coffee selection is good, but the output is sub-par. If you don't mind that, then it's 5 stars. After leaving our plates 90% full the first morning, we discovered a lot of nice breakfast places in the area... and really excellent coffee shops almost next door (e.g. Much A-Brew About Nothing). Would we stay there again. Most certainly if the price is right."

"Excellent stay and would stay again. Super clean and modern. Liverpool location is steps away from major Liverpool train station. Also it’s so close to amazing food options including Eataly and Ottolenghi. We extended our stay by 2 days and staff was extremely helpful. Loved it!"
