"This was a beautiful property. Everything was clean, updated, and easy to find. The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would love to stay here again!!"

"Wonderful Stay in Hakone!
The property is in a super convenient location, just a short walk to Hakone Yumoto shopping street, with two convenience stores nearby. There’s also a parking space available. The property itself is new, clean, and well-organized, with a cozy modern Japanese design that makes you feel instantly relaxed. Facilities are excellent, including a Dyson hairdryer and a Bruno hot pot cooker. If you’d like to have a BBQ, just let the host know in advance. The host is very...

"This is a Premium high $$$ stay, you will feel very fancy here.
The private Onsen is the best I have ever had the pleasure of using (it is 1000% worth the surcharge)
The only issues I had with my stay were some inconsistencies with the online posting and the english room instructions they appeared a little out of date (for example they both listed a dinner that was not available for our stay)"

"The staff was amazing, I forgot to ask the name of our specific help but we couldn’t stop talking about her the entire trip. She was amazing. Please if anything, give her a mountain of praise from us. She made the entire stay amazing, she was incredibly attentive, extremely cordial and very kind.
11/10 stars just for her and I will be staying here again. "

"Very old traditional Ryokan. Beautiful garden/riverside views. We did not realize that there are no private baths - that was a big surprise but we were only there one night so it wasn't that problematic. Staff were very accommodating and Google Translate made communication very easy."

"I had a great stay at Hakone Airu, but I want to highlight that the staff is incredible and they do anything in their power for people to feel welcome. I had forgotten something at the hotel and they shipped it to my next location in Tokyo immediately - really appreciate their promptitudine!"
"We stayed in Odawara for a night so we could drive around the Mt. Fuji/Hakone area the following day. The hotel is a short walk from the Odawara Station, located in a multi-purpose building that includes the hotel and a food court as well as shops and additional food options in an outdoor food court. The room was just below the top floor with a wonderful view of Odawara and the sea. It was comfortable and quiet, with nice amenities. The hotel is also located a few minutes walk from the Odawara Castle and park as well as other shops and restaurants in nearby areas of the city, which we enjoyed exploring before dinner. Odawara is a lovely city and this hotel's location makes it accessible. The breakfast was excellent with a great and delicious variety of Japanese and western cuisine. Upon check out, we were a short walk from the rental car company. A great stay all-around."
"The staff are top notch, and the hotel is right near the Hakone Yumoto line with multiple options for travel that use the Hakone Free Pass. There are many restaurants near. Bathroom was a little dated, but everything was immaculate. Would recommend. "
