The staff were friendly and helpful, I got a booklet in English with all important information which was very useful. The beach is very nice but it was a bit dirty when I visited, which is not the fault of the hotel. I had a very relaxing stay and would love to come back."

They arranged a private hike to a nearby waterfall, followed by a farm‑to‑table experience where we learned to identify local mountain vegetables, harvested them together, and cooked with traditional Japanese ingredients. We even learned how to make delicious local sauces from scratch. It was immersive, meaningful, and gave us a deeper understanding of the village and its culture. Another highlight was their unique half‑board concept. Instead of the usual ryokan-style meals, NIPPONIA partners with local restaurants — breakfast is delivered to your room, and dinner is served at different restaurants in the village. It’s such a smart setup because you get to enjoy a variety of local cuisines every night while supporting the community.
