"We stayed one night and it was just for somewhere to sleep. Good price for what it is. The shower was amazing, beds were lovely to sleep in. Right on the water front. Quite cold rooms, with the high ceilings and no double glazing, but they have heat pumbs and only takes a couple of minutes to heat the room to a good temp. Little outdated with standard wear and tear but it is clean. Overall I would still stay again! Oh and super lovely staff!! "

"Firstly, the property is dated, so if you are looking for a modern apartment this is not the place for you. It is clean, spacious and is all you would want for a pleasant stay. The property is very reasonably priced given the beachfront location and proximity to town centre. I would stay here again. "

Within this context though: - The check in was unusually formal for this type of accommodation (e.g. taking credit card imprint even though we'd prepaid ("in case we stole or broke something") - Some motels on cold days put the heat pump on before arrival so the unit is warm on arrival. That would have been well appreciated on a very cold day. - There were only power points at the bedside and in the...

"Staff were very friendly and the units were clean and serviced daily. Central location with the lake being two minutes walk away and Taupo central less than 5mins drive. We had a in-room spa which was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend"

"Very last-minute stay for us and was well worth it. Clean and tidy with a very nice and hot thermal pool. Could do with a little bit of a spruce up in the bathroom, but meets (and compared to some others exceeds) 3 stars in that department. Overall would stay again if given the opportunity. "
