A fantastic stay at The Gate. The hotel was in a fantastic location, close to shops and restaurants but also next to transport links to access all of Kyoto. The hotel was very clean and the lounge was perfect for drinks and snacks after a busy day.

We loved the stone box in our room. This was an amazing property, extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Great location to nearby attractions, restaurants and transportation. We will definitely come back next time we are in Kyoto.

Nice Stay

The hotel felt very modern. I was able to get to the train station easily from here and there is an alleyway nearby with a lot of restaurants to choose from. I also enjoyed the Japanese breakfast that was offered at the hotel. The lounge at night looks amazing.

A great stay. Room was lovely and spacious. Great view. Breakfast was delicious. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Rooftop has free snacks and drinks with a fire pit. Had such a lovely time
