"I've been driving by The Shoe for over 40 years and finally took the opportunity to spend a weekend there with life-long friends. It.Was.Fantastic!!!! It's cozy, cool, creative, and full of history! We were thankful for rainy weather because we did not want to leave! "It started with Carol and Pete bring us the most delicious home made scones for our breakfast for the next three mornings. The house was so beautiful and well equipped for all your needs. The grounds are well maintained and are the home to donkeys, chickens ( that will provide you with fresh eggs) emus & some neighbors cows.The atmosphere is nothing but peaceful. The only bad part of the weekend was having to leave, but we plan and hope to return."

"The Riverhouse was the perfect place for my solo getaway to take in all of what the area has to offer. There was much to enjoy on the property including the hot tub, huge deck, modern bathroom and kitchen with just about everything you can imagine, enormous TV in the family room, and convenient off-street parking. The views of the river were awe-inspiring and he sunsets are truly amazing. Josh was very responsive via both text and phone when needed. I would highly recommend staying here to...

"Our stay at Country Haven was so relaxing and cozy. Our host family was great and very accommodating. The refrigerator was stocked completely for breakfast and homemade cookies in the freezer. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels for showers. Thank you host family for making our stay one we will need forget. We would definitely come back to Country Haven. It was also a pleasure to meet our host family."

"I was looking for a romantic getaway for my hubby and I and all I can say is WOW, did I find it! We relaxed under a blanket on the oversized porch and drank our morning coffee while overlooking the endless river views. The house literally looks like an Italian villa. My favorites were the castle-like doors and heated marble floor in the bathroom! Josh was a great host and we appreciated the goodies he left for us. We will be back!!"
