We stayed 2 nights in Priest’s Cottage. It was lovely- clean, pot belly fire, fabulous Brekky provisions, really comfy bed and very quiet. Can’t fault it. It is very good value.

Well appointed cottage room with a great breakfast selection. Bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Room was a little dark as it is an old cottage but there was space to sit outside. Julie was fantastic, really helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would recommend!

We stayed in Priests Cottage, which was very cute. Breakfast provisions were extremely plentiful as were the tea and coffee supplies, bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable with nice clean sheets. Beautiful setting and close to the local pub, which had a fantastic friendly atmosphere, great food and a good local wine selection.

A perfect getaway for two.
This was a short notice booking at Priest’s cottage belonging to Reilly Winery, who were great hosts. The two unit cottage has a common front door and shared verandah. Our unit consisted of a large room with in room kitchenette, lounge area, dining table and queen bed with quality linens, and a separate bathroom with shower. We had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay - complimentary wine, fruit bowl, and generous ingredients for a full breakfast. It was a short walk to Reilly wine cellar and restaurant and to the friendly Stump and Magpie Hotel. Mintaro has beautiful C19th stone/slate homes and is an easy drive to other Clare Valley villages. A delightful two day stay!

A ver convenient place to stay for visiting the wineries in the Clare valley. The owners are currently upgrading the three cottages and our impressions were ideal for a weekend. A must is to visit Reilly’s restaurant some 100 m from the cottages.

Clare at its best
It was a wonderful stay. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and has all necessary ammenities. The owners were extremely helpful, especially as we needed to make a couple of last minute changes. Nothing was too much bother. The diy breakfast they left for us could have fed twice as many and everything seem to be local. Their own sparkling wine was also worth every penny. The wood stove was a great addition and we would love to come back in the winter. The local pub 2 minutes away was also excellent and the surrounding area was a pleasure to explore. We highly recommend this spot.

Magic Mintaro
Full of character, very generous breakfast provisions, enough towels to cover the stay. Beautiful local platter in the restaurant. Great atmosphere. Bed not as comfortable as I’d like ( roll into the middle). Overall, would stay again.We stayed in the Pay Office cottage.

A perfect quiet little getaway
The cottage was perfect. It had everything you could need for a weekend away (or longer). The atmosphere was lovely and it was awesome to sit by the open fire and drink some of the beautiful wines from Reilly’s and other local wineries.

Rustic cottage in a quiet, peaceful country town
Pros: character cottage, very generous breakfast supplies, comfortable bed, adequate kitchen, Mintaro is a lovely and quiet little heritage town, pub just around the corner Cons: bit dusty, noisy ceiling fan, need plenty of mozzie and insect repellent

Paymasters Cottage - a historical experience.
We arrived in the evening and the lights outside the little Paymasters cottage had been thoughtfully left on and the key was in the door. Generous breakfast provisions were provided on a tray in the fridge. The town of Mintaro has been quiet with the closure of the local pub, the Magpie and Stump, but new owners are doing a fantastic job renovating it and its soon to open which is exciting. Lunch at Reilly's on the verandah was lovely and delicious with excellent friendly service. Unfortunately for us the day we visited there was a power failure from 10am and lasted all day, which meant we literally did step back in time. We had a fantastic evening due to the kindness of the new pub owners who cooked us dinner on the weber and gave us great company in the evening. Mintaro is a lovely historical town that we have visited many times and its always a pleasurable experience. I look forward to returning again soon.

Romantic cottage in the Clare Valley
This is our second stay and it won't be our last. The cottage is tiny and quaint and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Plenty of fire wood for an evening fire. The breakfast provisions are delicious and plentiful. The staff are friendly and so helpful. The winery has beautiful food and amazing wines. Close to so many wineries and local attractions. Makes for the perfect weekend away!

Very pleasant rustic accommodation
Very relaxing stay in a quiet rustic location. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is in the cottage including provisions for a lovely cooked breakfast (including good quality plunger coffee). The top quality bottle from Reilly's wines included in the cost is a good bonus. We'll come again!

Rustic charm in very heart of historic town
On arrival the cabin was very pleasing set in a nice garden in historic street. The interior is modern old, but basic. comfortable bed, old furniture, clean bathroom with good water and nice toiletries, fluffy towels. The wood fire was a bonus. very quite location. Good basic kitchen with a small oven, even cooked a good dinner in it. The breakfast basket was a total surprise. Local cured bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and 2 types of bread. Local chocolates and boutique biscuits were a surprise too. On the small table was a bottle of fortified Shiraz, (port). Enjoyed an amazingly good steak and chips with salad at the Magpie Pub 100 yards away. Run by 'Grumpy' the pub is a bit run down, but the BEST steak ever. Jade and the team at the Riellys store cooked the most amazing smelling lunch, but due to the big breakie at the cabin I didnt try it. (next time). Jade was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Jade. Weekend Away
We had a great 2 day stay at Reilly's. good location for discovering local wineries, a huge breakfast each morning and a good bottle of wine for a night cap. Interesting country pub over the road with very good meals. Would recommend for a weekend stay in the Clare Valley
