We absolutely loved our stay in Parsonage Farm Stables....it's tucked out of the way, about a mile and a half from the A39. It is so peaceful - all you hear is the sounds of the breeze, sheep, cows, birds and the twilight barking between Wilf and Dylan and the Ash Farm dogs. The cottage itself is bigger than it looks on the photo's and is really well appointed. Jeremy and Paivi have tried to think of everything that you will need.
We had lots of adventures in the two weeks that we visited.... exploring the beautiful Exmoor - meeting the ponies, red deer and even highland cattle on our travels.
We were staying with our children, who are 12 and 8, and they loved spending time in the cottage, exploring the Wild garden and beyond and having table tennis battles!
There are so many lovely places to visit depending on your requirements......our proto teen loved the arcades in Minehead, our 8 year old loved hunting the Exmoor beast down at the Exmoor Zoo, along with paddling and fishing in Withypool and Watchet. My husband braved the funicular railway in Lynton and Lynmouth... Jeremey and Paivi have produced a brilliant welcome book which lets you know about the cottage and the area and are great at giving recommendations about the local area.
If you are looking for somewhere tranquil with an amazing view and yet within driving distance of lots of lovely things to do, then Parsonage Farm is for you!
