"We had a really comfortable stay here, the room was spacious for Tokyo, and we didn't feel claustrophobic during the 5 nights we were there. Room and amenities were clean - appreciated that there is a self-service laundry area, and luggage storage at the lobby. The hotel also has some regular programming (eg. geisha and noh theatre performances that we didn't manage to catch), and a tea room that opens daily for guests serving complimentary local snacks and beverages. The location is pretty...

Dormy Inn Premium Tokyo Kodenmacho Hot Spring
3.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (664)
"Really enjoyed the public baths and sauna - a refreshing morning and evening ritual, along with the massage chairs right outside the baths. They have nice complimentary ice cream treats in the evenings and yakult drinks in the mornings, and the rooms have a nice selection of hojicha, sencha, and coffee, as well as complimentary jellies on arrival that my kids enjoyed. We missed out on the free ramen bowls at 9:30pm due to being full around that time every night, but reports were that they are...

"Henn na Hotel Asakusa was a great place to stay. I ended booking it again when I returned to Tokyo. The check in process is very straight forward. You type in your booking information, scan your passport and choose how many keys you need for the room. There were free baggage lockers to use when we arrived. Which was great as we arrived at 8am but check in wasn’t until 3pm. It also worked the other way where we checked out at 11am stored baggage as our flight wasn’t until the late evening. Its...

3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (420)
"It is good for the price you pay. The location is a bit far to the main areas in Tokyo - 30-40 minutes by train. There are some nice restaurants in the area. A lot of the hotels we’ve stayed in Tokyo offered free drinks and pastries in the morning, here nothing is for free but I guess the rooms are cheaper than other hotels so it makes sense. The tv is really old and unfortunately you can watch Netflix or any other streaming channel on your tv and there’s only Japanese channels. "

"Clean, quiet and peaceful hotel. Staff were kind and welcoming. Amenities including a coffee machine and toiletries were a bonus. We took advantage of doing a wash and dry for 500 JPY. We loved the location - close to the park, station and Ameyoko. Busy, but not too busy like Shinjuku or Shibuya. Fantastic value, would recommend to anyone."

"Excellent hotel. Ideal location less than 10min walk to Ueno station. Lovely staff on reception. Lots of free items available for use such as wash cloths, tooth brush, tooth paste, hair brush, curling iron and pyjamas as well as usual things like hair dryer, shampoo, soap etc. Arrived several hours before check in time but staff were happy to hold our bags so we could head out and explore.
